These are the calorie calculations that my recipe program came up with for the calories. By no means I am sure many of us can eat as much as they say a full serving is. It is very good if you like beef, mushrooms and onions.

Beered Up Beef

Category: Meat
Total time: 8-10 hours
Source: Unknown

4 #s   beef chuck - cut in 2" pieces
1/2 Cup   flour
2 Tbls   salt - I found to be too much
2 teas   Paprika
1 teas   pepper - I found to be too much (try 1/2 teas or less)
10-12 sml   onions - peeled
4 strips   bacon - cut in sml pieces
1 #   mushrooms - fresh
1 (12oz)   can beer
1 teas   sugar
1 tbls   vinegar
1/2 teas   oregano
1/2 teas   marjoram
1   bay - leaf
Shake beef cubes with flour, salt, paprika and pepper in a paper sack (more than likely you can use a Zip Lock bag and dispose of it). Place onions, bacon and half of the mushrooms in a slow cooker. Add floured beef and remaining mushrooms. Mix beer w/sugar, vinegar, oregano, marjoram and bay leaf. pour into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat 8-10 hours. Serve over noodles, rice or plain. Makes 6-8 servings. If thicker gravy is desired make a smooth paste of 3 Tbls flour mixed with 1/2 cup water
pour into beef mixture turn on high, simmer for about 10 minutes.
