Bad Breath?? (XPost)
I second what Dawn said. It's ketosis. Not much you can do about it. It will stop once you get closer to goal.
According to my family, I did not have bad breath during my weight loss, but then again, they love me and have to say nice things.

And, to address your inevitable follow-up question "what can you do about ketosis breath," the only thing that helps me is constantly sipping water. I am 2 1/2 months post-op and still have ketosis. But, I'd rather have ketosis (losing weight) than fresh breath. Be careful of mints. they can stimulate your hunger.
Good luck!!

Yeap, what everyone else said it is because of ketosis - the body burning the fat. I also had an awful taste in my mouth 24/7 while I was in it. No matter how much I brushed my teeth and tongue it did not go away.
I promise, promise, promise, promise, promise you that it will go away eventually. Actually enjoy it wil you can ( I know that seems like an oxymoron to say) but it means that your body is burning your fat for fuel.
