Thursday Roll Call
This is an early one. 12:15am. I am a bit warm in bed atm that is why I am awake. May be getting out of bed soon to do a lap, if they dont mind. Ive got to pee something killer too (sorry if its TMI).
My husband was here visiting me last night which was really nice. He helped me shower and dress. I don't think that I could have done it with out him. On one hand I really wanna go home, on the other I really wish I could stay. I am kind of worried about how things will go once I am home and have my son to take care of in the evenings again.
I am feeling well, which is the best that I can hope for.
I hope Deanna is feeling well also.
Randy, woot! You can so do this and I am hoping and praying that it goes well for you and that we see you posting here soon about how good you are feeling. :)

My thoughts and prayers are with Randy this morning. He's been waiting a long time for this day and now it's finally here!
I'm coming home this afternoon. Can't wait to be home. It's only 1:40 am in Reno. I'm up cause I can't sleep - knee pain. Ugh!
My flight is at 3:25 pm Chicago time. So I got a way to go. There's only one direct flight to Chicago.
I'll be going to work in the morning as well.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Friday. Hope it's warmer in Chicago than Reno.
Hugs,
Lucy

Well one more day till Friday!!! Woohoo!!! I'm so tired.
I went to the support group last night. Everyone was very nice. I got lost getting there and getting home. The problem is the streets are not clearly marked. I forgot I have a GPS on my phone. I will have to figure out how to use it.
Good luck Randy!!! Finally your day has come.
I have nothihng going on today but work and more work. I hope everyone has a wonderful day
Another day, another dollar. I'm just trying to make a better day than yesterday etc.

If you can't find it anywhere, you can make your own:
Ingredients:
1 gallon (16 cups) 2% milk
1 cup plain yogurt with LIVE CULTURES (check label)
Instructions:
1. In a pan, bring the milk almost to boiling.
2. Pour into a non-metallic bowl.
3. Cover and allow to cool to between 110 and 120 degrees. (Takes about ½ hour to 45 minutes)
4. Gently mix in the yogurt.
5. Cover bowl top and bottom with towels to retain warmth as the yogurt sets--8-12 hours, or overnight. (I turn mine in the oven after heating, then turning it off.)
6. Do not disturb until the yogurt thickens.
7. Line a colander with cheesecloth, 2-3 layers.
8. Pour yogurt into lined colander and drain 4-5 hours in refrigerator for thick Greek-like consistency.
For yogurt cheese (substitute for cream cheese in any recipe, drain even longer, 6-8 hours in the refrigerator.

Today I am going to work, then watch some tv tonight.Tomorrow I am doing errands with Monica V.
Stay warm and dry.

Lisa
I hope everyone stays warm and has a great day!

I am SO happy to see that you are feeling well Crystal. I can relate to the apprehension of going home, but all will be well. You will soon get into a routine and things will work out.
I am thinking of Randy, whose long journey pre-op is finally ending and his new life just beginning. I am also hoping that Deanne is doing well and checks in soon.
My visit with the urologist yesterday told me that my bladder FUNCTION is normal! No fancy bladder surgery needed from him and he sent me back to the "gyno" who will coordinate surgery for the other issues. I have an appointment with him tomorrow. I am hoping that he will have a plan.
I am working today, then can either attend a board meeting at the theater or help with the Scouts. If there are enough parents at the Scouts, I may run over to the board meeting.
Tomorrow evening, a dear friend of mine from Chicago is coming out to spend the weekend with us. We are very excited. She is originally from Cameroon and we are looking forward to sharing the "Rock City Experience" with her. Saturday, we are having a neighborhood cook-out with REAL brats---she only know the "Ball Park Frank" version. We will also have a backyard fire with all our friends.
Everyone have a splendid day!
Crystal, it's good see you so alert and awake...lol however, remember that you do need your rest as well.
I have been SO sick this last week here. I came home from my mom and dad's on Sunday evening and about an hour later it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was running a fever from 101 to 103 from Sunday night til Tuesday night...it was crazy. Body aches, chills, sore throat, the works. Austyn tested positive for the Flu so they just assumed that is what I have as well. I still have the sore throat and a weird loopy feeling in my head. Not sure what that's about. I have been drinking a lot but I know I haven't been getting enough protein in this week. Gonna throw some shakes into the routine to get it back up there.
I start school on Oct 19th and am looking forward to that. I am also waiting to hear from Pet Supplies Plus about the part time job. Please keep your fingers crossed, I really need a job. My ex is still outta work and that sure doesn't help.
Nothing else going on around here...hoping to see everyone at Paul's on the 17th! We have no kids that weekend so it will be nice..lol
Have a great day everyone and stay dry!
