I haven't posted in a while....been really busy, sorry everyone.
Let's see, I had my second Endoscopy to stretch my stricture more Friday the 25th while still in the hospital. I had the PICC Line in for 4 days feeding me nutrients. I had to have a heart monitor because my heart rate was at 35 for several days....normally 60ish. Saturday morning I was able to eat 1/3 cup scrambled eggs, and orange slice, and 3 bites of a biscuit with butter. I felt great. Lunch came around and the messed up my meal so they had to remake it. 2 hours later and still no lunch. I page the nurses that are clueless and took over 20 minutes to respond to me. At 2pm I said screw it and took the IV's off my PICC Line, got dressed and told the nurses I was leaving. I'd had enough of that hospital's incompetence. Victory Memorial AKA Vista Health East in Waukegan, IL. I will NEVER stay there again nor will I support friends or family staying there. They are supposedly trained on the WLS Surgeries but clearly they are not. A social worker came in to speak with me Friday afternoon and after I poored my heart out she responded with: "Well demand the surgeon reverse your surgery!" I kicked her out of my room. Great advise.
Anyways, I came home Saturday and went to a bonfire for my 10 year high school reunion. I just sat at a picnic bench most of the night but I did feel 110% better then I did the same I was admitted to the hospital. My new avatar photo is a pic from that night my husband took sitting at the table.
I have been able to eat more, however, the throwing up has increased again so I have another Endoscopy scheduled for this Thursday. They said to expect to have 2-3 more.
My friends and family are asking me to seek legal counsel against my surgeon for neglecting to act upon this sooner. He'd known for weeks I was not able to eat and was throwing up everything but chose to wait. I don't know.
I'm at 170 pounds today, down from 227 twelve weeks ago. I will be exactly 12 weeks Wednesday. I feel like I've lost alot of weight quickly. They tell you when your BMI is lower you lose weight slower then someone that has 150+ pounds to lose.
Also, I still can't rotate my shoulder from where I landed on it from fainting at work standing up and landing on the cement. I started Physical Therapy for that this week.
Thank you for asking about me. My husband and I are having a LOT of marital problems and we are on the verge of divorce so I haven't been on here much....

Just want to let you know that you are also in my thoughts.
I just went through a very rough patch in my marriage and I understand.
I'm sure he is having a hard time dealing with the changes and feels like this is not "what you signed up for". I'm sure you feel the same. Hopefully, now that the strictures are being addressed, your journey will smooth out a bit and things can get back to "normal".

Sorry to hear about you and your husband. My wife and I had a hard time ajusting to the new me and my crazy lifestyle now.
Have you thought about changing doctor offices. I went to the Kane Center and I have had nothing but great things to day about them. If you want call them and tell them that Shane sent you and you are having the same problems he had with the closings, and they will help you. And their hospital IS WLF friendly in Elk Grove.
The last thing I want to tell you is just take baby steps, and if you think you are taking baby steps go a little smaller. You will get through this and your life will change for the better. :)
