Saturday Roll Call

I am so slow typing that one of you is almost sure to finish a roll call before me.

We will be putting our computer testing and repair stations back together at Bright Hope on our new benches.  I am looking forward to being able to do more as more weight goes away,

Heres hoping that everyone having surgery this week has an easy time. Then, you are in for one heck of a ride.

Lucy, have a good flight, enjoy yourself, and do get to your meetings. Remember, you are there for the job.

I just got done with Pumpkin pie squares. We are taking them to a chili party tonight, at monica V.s in Bloomington.

I am also going to deep clean our bedroom. It has been neglected for over a month.

Yeah it's Saturday...I wish everyday could be a Saturday

I slept in this morning, which is always nice. 

I'm staying in today it's cold and wet.  I'm going to decorate my house for Halloween/Fall.  I'm going to watch a couple of movies.  I'm just going to be lazy today.

I got my flu shot yesterday.  Now I just have to wait till the Swine flu shot comes out.  I deceided to get the shot this year.  I don't want to get sick and miss a bunch of work.   

Well I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Good morning Randy, Lisa, Crystal and IL friends.

I've been so busy since yesterday with getting things done at work, cleaning the house, washing clothes, changing the bed linen and packing. I was at walmart already this morning as I needed a couple of things for the trip. At least I was able to find everything I needed.

I also went to weigh****chers this morning - the meeting was about a mile from my house. I didn't look at the numbers and will wait until I go next week for my weigh-in. I weighed in with heavier clothes but I figured that I might as well since I haven't weighed in for 5 weeks. It's like a new start.

Now I am having my morning coffee and icing my knee. It must be better because I am doing more, even though I am having pain. I really need to increase my activity.

I'm almost all packed; only jewelry and a few protein items. I know that they'll have a lot of carbs and sugars around and I don't want to gain more weight!

I'll see how it goes with the conference. If the topics I selected are good, I'll stay in my sessions. Otherwise. just might take the scooter outside the hotel and do some shopping and sightseeing. If I play the slots, I'll have to control myself with a set limit.

I plan on having a great time even with my disability. This is probably just what I need to feel better.

Soon I'll be picking up my sister for a visit at my house.

Crystal, my house is all decorated for Halloween. I even have the bathrooms decorated with fingertip towels and bath towels. So cute! I love to decorate for the holidays.

Nancy, hope your knee pain gets a bit better until you have your surgery. I'm with you girl!!

Randy, prayers are coming your way for your new life that you are soon to embark.

Lisa, thanks for the reminder about the conference. I know that I will probably skip some of the late afternoon topics. Hope you have a great weekend.

I'll be leaving tomorrow morning around 7:30 - so I'll check in before I go. I'm taking my new pink netbook with me so I can check in and see how everyone is doing.

Today we are going to Coal City to see my grandchildren on a float in a parade. The town is celebrating Octoberfest with craft booths and a parade. They do not know we are coming to see them, so they will be surprised.
Tomorrow I want to go see the new Drew Barrymore movie,"Whip It".

Good morning everybody

I got to sleep in a little bit today, but my day to sleep in is tomorrow and monday. It feels so nice knowing that I don't have to go back to work on monday.

This weekend there is so much to do! I need to pack my bag for the hospital, clean the house, go grocery shopping and get stuff that my hubby can easily make for him and our son, go to the pharmacy and get the hibiclens and magnesium citrate... and we are also going to Sonny Acres on North Ave this weekend. Going to take some pictures of our son in all the pumpkins :)

 Good Afternoon Randy and Illinois Friends

Wow, Randy, Crystal and Deanna,  only a few days left until you are on the loser's bench.  I am sure all of you thought this day would never happen!  Focus on the other side to a brand new life to get past those preop jitters.  It really is a wonderful ride and new life! 

Today, I slept in and then went to the YMCA for an opportunity to give feedback for the overall Y programs and facilities.  It was a really productive meeting.  I got to voice my opinions of the therapy pool being located way the heck and gone and not accessible for those of us with disabilities.  I am relieved to find out that this problem is on their agenda to be addressed.  Many days I cant go because I cannot walk the distance it requires to get to the pool.  Whoever did the layout was definitely not handicapped nor did they know anyone with a handicap. 

Meantime back at the ranch I am elevating my legs and trying to stay off of them.  The fluid is going down which is a good thing.  I had a doppler scan yesterday and assume it was negative for blood clots since I am not in the hospital.  That is a relief.
