Sunday Roll Call
I am having a cup of coffee and then leaving for the airport at 7:30 this morning.
All packed and ready. The plane is full at least from what I can see on-line. I was hoping to get an upgrade but looks like the seats are all sold out! Ugh! I'll have to get up at least two times during the flight.
The weather in Reno looks like about the same like here until Thursday then low 70's.
I'll check in later in the day.
Wishing everyone a restful and ssfe day.
Best wishes to our friends who are having their surgeries this week.
Hugs and Love,
Lucy

By the time I post you should be on your way to Reno! Enjoy yourself!
We went to "Octoberfest" in Coal City yesterday. I'm pleased to say we walked and walked and walked some more. Then we stood for an hour waiting for the parade that lasted about 45 minutes. While waiting for the parade it stared to rain a bit, but stopped once the parade started. It was cool and damp. They had a lot of booths to visit. Lots of neat stuff. I bought a snowman sweatshirt. Had to try it on over the sweater I was wearing. Bought a large!
Ava and Vince were on a float sponsored by the library. They had a lot of fun waving to the people.
Today we are going to the movies. I want to see "Whip It".
Have a great day! Keep warm...keep safe!
Good Morning Illinois,
Lucy, you should be almost in Reno. Have a good time, even if it is for work.
Carol, I know you enjoyed yourself yesterday. That movie you want to see looks like a good one.
Randy, you Deanna and Crystal are all in for a great ride.
At least the sun is out today, I know its not warm, but it looks good. We are going to a local park today fr our neighbors kids birthday party. One is 13 and the other is 4. It will be fun. If the paths in the park aren't to muddy, we will probably walk them before hand.
Tomorrow I go for the 2 year checkup with Dr Guske. I am going t ask him for a reccomendation for the tummy tuck. Of course, that will depend on our insurance,
Other then that, I am making chili today, so I have some for the week at work.
Have a great day, stay warm and safe.
Hugs, Lisa
Have a great time in Reno. I was there once just driving thru.
I just replanted my little garden area. I replanted all the root bound pots in the ground. I had to level it and put new dirt in it.
We are comming to Chicago for about 10 days November 1st. 1 so Carl can go and see his sister that is in the nursing home and I hope they make her stay there permently. She cant be trusted in the house...She has parkinsons and is getting worse by the day.
And I also have to make the final arrangements for the Family reunion.
I got the results of my Thyroid uptake scan and I am cancer free. No lingering cancer cells are noted and I am relieved.
So on with my day.
Carla
Lucy, I hope you have arrived in Reno safely without any annoying delays. Have a good week while there. Don't work too hard.

For those having surgery this week, Yes! It is happening!

Not much happening today. It is good to see the sun out. Hope everyone has a great day!
Cat Lady

I'm excited to be in such great "surgery company" with Deana, Randy and Crystal. I started my pre-op diet today. It isn't too bad at all. For some reason, my surgeon just has us do a low-carb, high protein diet. Besides protein shakes, I can have vegetables (obviously not potatoes!) 2 diet meals (like Lean Cuisine) and 1/2 cup fruit per day.
I actually find the shakes to be really filling. I ordered a bunch of samples through vita-lady and a couple of manufacturers (thanks to all the information on OH). I really like the Isopure low and no carb flavors for now, and I'm saving the rest of the samples for post-op.
It's nice to catch up on what ya'll are doing. Best wishes to Randy, Crystal and Deana, I can't wait to join you on the loser's bench!
