Thursday Roll Call
Good Morning Illinois!
It seems very cold today! But we are one day away from the end of the week! I went and had my very first fill ever yesterday! He put in 4 cm and it hasn't really created much resistance if any. He said we'll probably put more in about three weeks from now. I gained four pounds since the band replacement, which was less than expected, but we went forward with the fill just to make life a little easier. I still want to loose about ten more pounds to give myself a safe cushion. The needle hurt a bit and it took two attempts, but the doctor said that the first time is always a little more difficult. All in all it was not a big deal. Today I need to run on an appointment and then come back and start getting ready for the art show this weekend. It's at the Lake County Fair Grounds on Saturday and Sunday. I hope you all can come out and visit! Remember to tell me you are from OH and I then pass on a 10% discount!!! Class tonight as well.
Have fun and stay warm today!

Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois!
I am back at work this morning and closer to my "normal" sunny self. Thank you SO much for the encouraging words when I was down yesterday. Glad to hear that the fill was not too big of a deal. The fills are what scared me about the band.
I went home last night a licked my wounds, cried a bit and talked to a couple of friends. What will be, will be, and all my emotions are not going to change anything. I will hope for the best and possibly call BCBS to see if there is anything they will do. Otherwise, we will just get through it as we get through all things.
I am looking forward to traveling into the city tomorrow for the Cubs game. I will dig out the Under Armour and gloves. It will be great fun, I am sure.
I am wishing everyone a great day!

Good Morning Paul and the whole Board.
Paul, you manage to keep yourself busy.
I hope everyone not feeling well is better, or getting better. Me, I am fine, no cold, nothing wrong, othen then I want to stay home today.
The city is working on our street finally. They are redoing the sewer line, then, a new street surface, new water, electric and gas lines. Basicly a whole new system, plus the sidewalks and berms. We need it since this is one of the oldest streets in town.
Have a great day, stay safe and warm.
Hugs,
Lisa

I am feeling guilty about focusing on myself in my thoughts.
I wish Paul the best in finding his new way.
I wish Dawn the best of health and family happiness.
I wish Lucy and Nancy as well as my own Sherry relief from their knee pains.
I wish myself a perfect surgery and supernatural healing afterward.
I turn all of these over to prayer and place my own fate into the hands of the God of Jacob, Abraham, Daniel and David through who we were provided salvation by his son, Jesus, covering our pain from the sin we inherited and our own sins and thank him for sending to us his Holy Spirit,
Amen
One week to my date.

Good mornng Paul and Illinois!
I got a chance to meet Deanna, one of our newbies! She is going thru the same things the rest of us did when we were facing surgery in a week. Natural to be nervous and excited at the same time. Hang in there Deanna...you are in for the ride of your life. It is so very lifechanging and worth it to become a more healthy person.
Going to the gym tonight. Since I've changed my exercise routine a bit I've started to lose more weight. Nothing earth shattering but the scale is moving downward....woohoo!
I'm almost 18 months out now and it will soon be time to update my profile again...hopefully I remember to put my thoughts in writing for others to read.
Going to Hobby Lobby today and if I'm lucky when I run into K-mart they will still have a wii and wii fit to purchase for the sale price. Then I'll start doing that at home on my off days from the gym. Winter is coming and I won't be able to get out to walk the path as often.
Hope you all have a great day! Keep warm, keep safe!

Good morning everybody.
Today is the first of the month so I am going crazy waiting for the month to close. Other than that I am excited today because I am going to my last pre-op concert tonight at The Vic in the city.
My son (who is 2) is sleeping over at daycare (in home daycare) and April who watches him is having her niece (who is 4) spend the night too so they will have a blast.
On top of all of that.. TOMORROW IS MY LAST DAY OF WORK! yay! I am so excited about that.
I hope you all have a great day :)

Good Morning Paul and Illinois Friends
Happy Friday Eve! It sure has been a cold week. I went into WalMart after work on Monday and came out with a purchase of sweat pants and a hoodie. I also just bought a hoodie from our animal rescue group and these are going to good use this week. My new cube is by the front door so I am getting some of the air flow of incoming traffic. I wonder how winter will be?
Paul, I am planning to come to your get together. I have yet to notify you and need directions. Have no clue what to bring, that is why I have not notified you yet.
Yesterday morning I bit the dirt and scheduled my second knee replacement for December 1. I would rather have it next week but that is the soonest they can take me. My knee is now going out on me. I found out that my FMLA rolled over in July and I have 12 weeks so no waiting until next year.
I did not let the grass grow under my feet when I found that out. Called as soon as the doctor's office opened the next morning. Can you say desperate??
Dawn, keep plugging for surgery before Nov 1. Talk to the Wisconsin doctors and see if they cannot work magic. I thought I had to cancel my knee surgery because I could not get in to get cardiac clearance and in fact called and cancelled it and my ortho doctor called and got me the appointment for the next day when there were "no "appointments!
Lucy, I hope that third shot did the trick.
To those of you having surgery in the next couple of weeks, focus on the new life you are about to embark on. Thinking of the positives helped me keep the doubts under control.
For me, I have an interesting day ahead. The alarm did not go off and as I was stepping out of the shower, I noticed that my legs were really red. They are swollen around the knee that is really bothering me so I am not sure if cellulitis is back or if it is something else. I got in to see the physician assistant this morning so hopefully I can get this resolved pronto.
Hope everyone has a great day!
