Good morning everybody.

I feel like im coming down with something. I hope not though because surgery is in 7 days! My mouth had some sort of bad reaction to the barium yesterday and it is really sore. I tried sucking on a cold-eez and it burned. Owell, it will heal.. lots of liquids and I will be better soon.

I was so cold this morning! I think I need to get my son a winter coat this weekend. He has a heavy jacket but it is so cold I'm not sure that it is enough.

I have my visit with the surgeon tomorrow and I am looking forward to it.

I hope you all have a great day! :)

 Hey All,
hope everyone is staying warm and cozy.
Glad my husband talked me into a fall coat this weekend, all of the ones I had are way too big. Will need a new winter coat too now.  Wore my winter PJ's last night and they are nice and loose. So glad Disney runs small, so i don't have to give up my Jack jammies yet.
Have another interview today and one Friday, so should hear something soon!
Worked out with trainer , now got to be domestic, then get ready to go.
Heater doesn't work, so a friend is coming over to fix it soon. Glad I kept sweatshirts!!

Randy, Can't wait till you are on this side!
Paul Feel Better soon.
Dawn, Hang in there.
And Girls I hope the knees feel better soon. The cold weather is hard on them.

Have a great day!
Katie

Same days it doesn't pay to chew the restraints off...

Hi there.... My name is Julie Ann and I had my surgery from the Dr. Heydari as well.  Just wanted to say hello Cold day here in Crystal Lake, IL. today I was just thinking about what I'm going to do about a fall and more importanly winter coat this year. I just recently had my surgery so I don't know if I want to invest in a coat this year when I know i will not be near this weight new season... Something for me to think about... I guess! Maybe I will go to the clothing exchange coming up and I wil lfind a coat there just for this winter season... maybe I will get lucky. I am planning on volunteering at the next one just to be able to help out.  Do you attend the support groups at Centegra?  I went to an informational session back in December of 2008 and I haven't missed one since. I go twice a month, every month and enjoy seeing other people's progress. Well, I don't want to keep you... I could go on forever... lol

Take Care and God Bless....

Hello everyone! I am new to this post, reside in Illinois and had my surgery 8 weeks ago.
I'm down 52lbs and seem to have reached a halt! Any suggestions? On the good side, I am not as nauseated anymore, but I cannot keep down vitamins, any suggestions with that?
Thanks guys!

Just hang in there.  Your matabolism will stop and start throughout your process.  It kind of goes into shock and you stop loosing for a while, but then out of no where, bamn, you'll start loosing again.  I stalled for 3 months and then went on to loose 35 more pounds with absolutely no changes to my diet or activity.  Welcome to the board!

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!

As far as vitamins go, it is non-negotiable.  You have to find a way to get them in and keep them in.
Are you using chewables?  Have you tried liquid?  Do you break them into small pieces (the size of a pencil eraser or less)?  Those are my first suggestions.

We had this surgery to get healthy......mal-nutrition is no fun and some of the deficiencies can be life-threatening and irreversible.

It is so good to see you here.  Please come often for friendship and support!

Tell someone that you love them!
