went to seminar at uic yesterday!
I pray that i can get in with Dr Vitello or Dr.Elli over there for my revision surgery before xmas. my appointment is in two weeks for the first consultation. im ready i have all my paperwork from 2000. since it's medically neccesary he said getting approval from medicaid shouldnt be a problem. they can trim the pouch,re-route it or put the band around my stomach. they only do three procedures there the sleeve, bypass and the lapband. they also put you through a weight loss program and if you gain weight or miss appointments they drop you and make you start over again. for some reason they said medicaid wont cover the lapband. i guess thats just at uic but not mercy or evanston hospital. im assuming they will cut me back open to perform the revision but i hope not.
i went to see dr vitello at uic last week and he irritated me.he told me because i was 215lbs im not that obese and he wanted to watch my iron levels so come back in two months. i told him that im seeking a revision and he said why to lose weight i said yes.and i want my iron levels to be normal again.and since my connection from the bypass is not the same and my stomach allows food to past quicker i want it done before i end up 300lbs again. he seem uninterested and told me to come in two months for my boold and iron levels. I need help to know what i should tell him so he can consider giving me the revision.because after having the blood transfusion and the doctors at mercy told me i need to have my stomach fixed because i have a sliding hitial hernia and two fibrods. and i want to know what i can say to him when i got back in december.
