Monday Roll Call
Good morning Illinois!!!!
I am back to work this morning waiting for the Madison Urologist's office to open so I can call to get this last (repeated) test scheduled. I also seem to have acquired an infection so I need to do something about that also.
I made the Chicken with Cider Gravy on Saturday and it was AWESOME!!!!! I made beef-vegetable soup yesterday and will be having that for lunch today.
I am trying to decide if I should audition for "It's a Wonderful Life". I would like to try, but I am up in the air about the surgery and all. I should probably sit this one out, but it WOULD be fun.
I took Liv shopping for jeans yesterday and it was not as painful as usual. That was good. She does not understand about how women's/girls sizes vary so much. She used to get stuck on the size on the label and it always reduced her to tears when she could not fit into the size she thought she wanted. We have all been there, done that.
It is windy and dreary here, so everyone make their own sunshine!

Revision on 04/19/13
Good Morning Dawn and EV1,
We have wind and grayish skies this morning. I will be leaving shortly to go to work. 5 days until the weekend.
I didn't do much yesterday, just pulled out the tomato and pepper plants, We did take a hike at one of our local woodland parks, later yesterday. I thought the leaves would be turning, but not yet. Then when we got home, I made lambchops for dinner. That is one di****ry to serve only a couple of times a year, since DH is not fond of it.
Have a good Day, stay Safe and Warm.
Hugs,
Lisa

Good morning Dawn and Illinois! Dawn, tell Liv that she is a beautiful young lady who doesn't need to listen to the printing on labels (on jeans). I use to freak out about being a 42 until I met a Chicago Bears player who was in tip top shape and wore a size 46! Everybody is different and unique. As a friend of mine once said in a song, "We're all ugly under the skin, so let's enjoy the outside instead!".
We had a major event in the house this morning. Meredith begged us to get her one of those little kid potties, so we went to Wal-Mart yesterday and got her the pink one. This morning, I was putting the garbage out while she sat on it and when I came in, she pooped! Her first time ever pooping out of a diaper! This may not sound like a big event to some of you, but it was a major event here. This could mean the end of diapers someday!!!
I'm still struggling with the end of this nasty cold, but am considerably better today over yesterday. Hopefully, I will be close to 100% by class tonight.
I hope everybody has a great day and doesn't get blown to the land of Oz with all this wind!

Good morning everyone!
Dawn, the Chicken with Cider Gravy sounds yummy - would you mind posting the recipe?
I drove my DD to school this morning (she missed the bus) and it was COLD out there. I love fall but am not looking forward to winter!
Today I need to finish cleaning the garage and keep on the job search. Hope everyone has a fantastic day!!!

Good morning Illinois!
This morning was my presurgical testing. 6 vials of blood, 1 chest xray and 1 barium shake all finished and I think I am just about ready for surgery! :) I am getting more and more excited and nervous each day. last week I felt like the 6th would never get here and now it is only 8 days away, still seems far but I know it will be here before I know it.
I haven't had anything to eat today except the barium because I feel so bloated. I will make up for it though with a shake in about a half hour and then 3 more throughout the day.
I hope you all have a great day.
