And the doctor says...(2)
Well.....I am finally home from Madison.
I like this doctor better (I feel that he knows what he is talking about anyway....)
The good news is that he has a plan to "fix" me that has a 75%-85% chance of helping my issues. He also says that everything can be done at the same time. No self-catheterization involved.
The neutral news is that he thinks that a removal of the uterus will be helpful against iron deficiency anemia (I'm not planning on using it any more....) while he is in there.
The bad news is that one of the tests that I took in Rockford (involving the bladder) has a report that is completely "unhelpful". The report does not give this doctor the information that he needs to make an informed decision about how to best help me with the bladder issues. Since the doctor that performed the test tells me something different every time I see him, the Madison doctor wants me to take the test again with the Madison Urologists. By the time I was done with the doctor, it was 4:15 and I now have to wait for the urologist's scheduler to call me to set this appointment. I need to have this appointment YESTERDAY. So, if I do not hear from her on Monday, I will be bothering her until I get the fastest appointment available.
When I told the doctor that I REALLY want everything completed before Nov. 1, he said it all depends on how quickly we can get an accurate report. I KNEW I should have went up there to begin with!!!! When I told Todd, he said, "why am I not surprised that Rockford did not do it right?" It has now been 2 MONTHS since this started. I probably could have been recovered by now.......
Anyway.....thank you again for all your support and I know that many of you are following this saga. I am a little upset that there IS a saga, but it looks like we MAY be close to an ending.

Revision on 04/19/13
Dawn,
I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Madison Dr is quick with getting your issues solved . I can relate to you. Six years ago I went through 6 months before I went to Mayo's, to get a bleeding issue solved. Mayo's found the problem, and corrected it, in 3 days.
Good Luck.
Lisa
Hi Dawn. From what you say, it does sound like your on the right track to a final resolution.
Even though you need to repeat a test, at least you know that you have the right doctor to take care of you now.
I am so happy for you. Once you get through the next few weeks, you'll be feeling so much better.
Thanks for sharing your true to life experience. I'm sure it will help others as they strruggle with their health issues.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs.
Lucy
