Friday Roll Call

Good Morning Illinois and all our friends from beyond.

I'm up and at it but this cold is getting nasty in my throat.  I'm drinking tea with honey, but so far it isn't helping.  I ended up staying home from class last night and going to bed early, but that didn't seem to help.  Hopefully, a day of rest will do the trick.  Today I plan on making a big pot of beef vegetable soup with all the unique veggies that I got from the CSA farm on Wednesday.    I have some nice turnips and kyrobi, carrots, Italian squash and swiss chard.  Then I still have the regular type of veggies like potatoes and carrots and some really great corn to add.  This should keep me stocked up for the winter!

Dawn, good luck up in Madison.  I'll be sending you some good thoughts.

Have a great day and a terrific weekend everybody!

Paul

Hello everyone

Well it's Friday!!!  I'm so glad the work week is over.  I can't wait to start my weekend.

Today is the grand jury they will decide if there is enough evidence to go to trial.  I think there is no question about it.  We have the pictures he took and he also admitted it to police on tape twice the horrible things hge did.  I don't know what else they need.  So one can only hope that this guy will rot in prison.

Tomorrow I have a party to go to.  My friends are so nice, I was asked if there is something special she should serve for me to eat.  I just said lots of protein, in little bite sizes.  Hahaha

Have a nice day.  Enjoy your Friday.(I won't till 5pm).

It is very rare for a true bill to not be passed when a subject goes up before the Grand Jury  (GJ). The ASA (Assistant State's Attorney's) office would not have sent the case before the GJ if they did not think that they would get him indicted. We have a case in our town where the bozo got 70 years to life for a similar situation.

Hope your time with your friends was grand.

Hi Paul, Crystal and IL friends.

I hope your cold symptoms start to subside soon Paul. I think we all know the misery of having a cold. Hard to sleep, running nose, scratchy throat, etc... Ugh!! I hate them.

Crystal, I pray that the court case goes your way. That man should be held accountable for what he did and to protect others in the future.

Dawn, best wishes for a successful doctor visit. Drive carefully as there are bad drivers out everywhere!

Me, well, I stayed in bed for 5 hours last night. Maybe that is an indication it is getting better slowly. I'm hoping and praying that this is the case. I've got a week and 2 days before my Reno trip for an educational conference.

It's Friday! YAY!! Two days of not working (at the job, of course).

Nothing much planned for the weekend - sister visit on Saturday. Plan on going to weigh****chers Saturday morning close to my house. I got to get back on track.

Hugs
Lucy

Good Morning Paul and Illinois,

Hope your cold gets over with Paul.

Hope that medicine that was in the shot helped, Lucy.

Crystal, I have my fingers crossed that  the B`````$####
goes to jail for life.

I am off to work at a special site today. Next week is the last one, then back to 4 days a week. I don't mind the 4 days, but the 5th, now that tires me out to much.

No real plans for the weekend. May go to an art show here in town tomorrow. Depends on the weather. Also the last farmers market.

That all for me, stay safe.

Hugs,

LISA

Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois!!!!

I hope you and Liz feel better soon.  I have heard that the "cold" going around is awful and can last up to 10 days.  I hope that's NOT the one you have caught.  Soup sounds like just the ticket!

Thank you all for the good thoughts for my trip to Madison today.  I am hoping that this doctor can make sense of all the tests that were done in Rockford and will have a more acceptable treatment plan.  I am leaving here abuot 12:30 for a 2:45 appointment.

The best thing about going to Madison is the trip to Trader Joe's that I will make when I am done!  I need to get some of thier B-12 sublinguals.  I like those particular B-12s best and I can only get them there.  I sometimes wish I could order online from Joe's, but I guess that would increase their prices.  My kids want Jo Jo's, but we will check their grades first.

I want to wish Val a HAPPY BIRTHDAY today and Nancy the same for tomorrow.  I hope both of you lovely ladies have the perfect celebrations.    We are all just getting better....not older!

That's it for me today, I'll try to check in before Monday with the results if possible.

Have a wonderful day and weekend!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hello everybody.

I am feeling a lot better today. Was feeling better before bed last night. Now I know that I need to make sure I am getting enough sugars too. Geez, never had to worry about that before lol.
I was able to drink my whole shake this morning and have two more planned for today.

I am going to a friend's house tonight and am going to be making some fall cards.

This weekend I hope to get the house cleaned at least half as well as I wanted it cleaned next weekend. I hate a dirty house and it always gets trashed during the week so I want it spotless before surgery.

I hope everybody is doing well!

A big part of the problem is that your body "feels" deprived of the calories and that is why you went through what you did. It does not mean that you have sugar issues now or will have them in the future it means that your body's chemistry is way out of whack because of what you are ingesting in preparation for your surgery. I promise you that it will get better.
