Sue, Is this the first approval? The one that confirms your insurance does indeed cover the procedure? Or is this the one when all the tests are done and the insurance confirms that you can receive it? It does make a differance.

In any case congrats, and listen to what Lucy said. She is right about the Kane Center.

This the approval to do the actual surgery. This is after 6 months of supervised diet, psych eval, etc. After the infomation meeting and before I met with Rantis for the first time, I had checked with my insurance to see if they cover it and they did.

I will keep on top of the Kane Center. I'm suppose to get a letter informing me of the things (appt.) I need to do before they can give me a surgery date.
