Back from the Doc
Well, I had my second shot in the knee. It wasn't as painful as the first one. I had a washcloth with me to lessen the sound of screaming. It worked well as I used it to bite on, but didn't scream this time. I was so surprised it wasn't too bad!!!
I was not happy with the doc though. He only gave me a script for half of the amount of pain medication. I'm so lucky to have a couple of friendly docs who will help me with my pain med needs.
Thinking about how stingy he is with oral pain meds without surgery, makes me think that he will be the same way if I had the knee surgery with him. I don't think I will let him do the knee surgery on me. If I need it, I will consult with a couple of docs with one key question, that is pain management.
Hopefully this second shot will lessen the severe pain. I got my 3rd shot and appointment for next Wednesday.

I am glad to hear that this injection wasn't as bad as the first. I tore my rotator cuff a few years ago and had to have a cortisone shot right into the joint capsule. It hurt like hell!!!
If you need a suggestion for a good orthopedic surgeon, I would be happy to share min.
I hoe the shot works quickly and takes away some of the pain!

Thanks for the offer. I'm waiting to see how this goes, hoping that the pain lessens to a livable level.
I definitely will be looking for another surgeon if it comes to having surgery. I can't handle not to be taken seriously about my pain. And, that is something no one should have to tolerate since there are a number of pain medications that can be given safely.

Thanks for the information. I will take it under consideration.
My ortho doc is good with doing procedures. But, the pain management part is highly doubtful. That's the only reason why I wouldn't choose him to do the procedure on me.
Hopefully, I can put off any surgery for a while.
