My Appeal was approved - all systems go.....
Hi everyone,
I feel like I should play the lotto because my appeal for a VSG surgery has been approved.
My jaw dropped to the floor when I got the letter but I will take this as a sign to get this done. I am setup for a call from the coordinator to schedule my surgery. You guys/gals were right about this being on hell of an emotional Journey. I have had many highs and lows and just can't wait to get this going. I am a little scared about never being put under but excited about the outcome.

Keep calling the coordinator until you get your surgery date!
Your emotions will run all over the place but in your heart you know that is the right decision for you.

Pre-op/RNY day/pre DS day/current/goal- Realize Band 5/15/08; RNY 6/8/05, Removal Band and RNY to DS 8/25/10. RNY & Band surgeon was Dr. Guske.

What wonderful news! Congratulations. Appeals are worth the time and effort and frustrations. Soon you will be on that loser's bench with the rest of us. Be sure to discuss your concerns of going under with the anesthesiologist. They can really calm your worries.
