What are they putting in the knee. When I was have severe knee pain we tried the steroids w/o luck. Then they tried the synveck (sp) and that's been 4 yrs ago and I have not had any troubles with the knee to put me down in any way. I mean I might have some soreness after a full day but nothing the acetaminophen won't take care of! I even had a bad fall off my bike this past Sat, and landed on one knee and I though for sure here goes, well I did not even have swelling or stiffness I think I was lucky, I even finished the ride!

Hi Karen. They are putting in synvisc - a synthetic synovial fluid.

Hi Lucy and everyone,

Busy day for me today, trying to get things done at work since I will be off until Monday afternoon.  Then I have to go home and finish getting ready for our Rockford event and pull an all nighter to finish a paper for school.  I thought I had another week for the paper, then I looked at the syllabus today and was unpleasantly surprised. 

Lisa, try www.shoemall.com for shoes.  They have a huge selections and I found some repro 1940's shoes that fit perfect and I wear a size 11.  Their prices aren't too bad either.  The next time I need dress shoes I will probably go there again.

Lucy I hope this shot today will aleviate your pain some more.  I know its exhausting just to be in pain for so long.

Hi Sheri. Good luck with the Rockford event. The days of pulling an all nighter for a paper for school, I remember those days! Hope you get it done.

I'm hoping this second shot will be more successful than the first. At least it wasn't as painful as the first. I can really emphatize for others who are in pain. It affects everything you do.

Hi Lucy,
The Rockford event is always fun, lets just hope the rain holds off for most of the weekend.  I will set up tomorrow, the school kids come on Friday and the public comes on Saturday and Sunday.  It is fun, but it makes for a long weekend when you are sleeping in 65 year old tents, and can't shower all weekend.  At least it gives you the feeling of knowing how it was like back then.  We do have it easier than they had, but it gives you more of a respect when you try and live like they did.  And we only do it for a couple of days.

I thought I was done with college many years ago, but with the economy and the unemployment rates, I thought I should go back and finish my degree, so if anything was to happen with my job, I would have an edge up.  I have been doing my job for several years, but most people won't hire an office manager without the degree.  Nowadays, experience doesn't seem to account for much.  At least the experience is making school easier.  I just finished the paper, now I have to finish packing.  So maybe I will get to bed around 2am, then up at 6am and heading out the door by 8am.
