Wednesday Roll Call

Good morning Lucy and the rest of Illinois!

I hope the shot helps your pain Lucy.  It is terrible to see you in so much pain for so long.

I do not have the size problem when I buy shoes, but I DO have bunions and very flat feet.  This makes it hard to find comfortable shoes sometimes.  When I get a minute from all these other doctors, I need to go see a podiatrist.  Amber and Liv both have bigger feet.  Liv already wears a 10 and Amber is an 11, I think.  Good luck Lisa on finding the perfect shoes.

I am working today after a nice surprise last evening.  My uncle is in town from Florida and he and my father-in-law came out last night for Taco Tuesday.  It was grreat to see him and spend some time with him.  He has never been to Rock City, so we were very happy to have him over.

Today, I leave work early to take the kids to their eye doctor appointments.  Then, tonight, I have my last band booster meeting as the Vice President.  I will continue to support the cause, but I need to cut back on some of my outside commitments and pay closer attention to my family/husband at this time.

It is dreary outside, kind of drizzly.

Everyone enjoy your day and stay safe!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi Dawn. Sounds like your extremely busy.

You definitely need some family and hubby time.

Take care, stay safe and dry! Have a great day.

Will post about my doc appointment separately. Thanks for the concern.

Good morning everybody.

Lucy, I too hope that this shot will help your knee pain.

I am doing alright today. This liquid diet is making me exhausted though. I am wondering if this is how I will feel after surgery with even less caloric intake? The first 2 days of the liquid diet I felt great and energized, but since then I have been ready for bed around 2pm. I am just running out of steam before the end of the work day, plus I still need to go home and take care of the boy until around 7:30. I tried going to sleep earlier but that hasnt helped. I feel like maybe I am doing the protien shakes wrong, but the surgeon's office says that im doing it right. I just dont get it.  In the mean time I keep telling myself, in 2 weeks Ill have a 3 week vacation to sleep in as late as I want! :)

Today shouldn't be too busy with work, but I already have 8 things on my to-do list.

Gymnastics class was fun last night. Conlan (my son) is getting much better with his forward rolls and also on the balance beem.

I hope you all have a great day!

My surgery is to be open but I just got an e-mail with my liquid diet attached.  Dr. V said for seven to ten days but I am ready now.

So you have been forgiven?

Hi Crystal. I'm surprised that you are on a liquid diet already. Usually the Kane group does a one day liquid diet the day before surgery.I know that I was so hungry with only doing the one day liquid diet.

You'll be less active at first while recuperating at home. So you will not feel hungry but full. Your energy will be low, but that is because of the post-op phase. This will increase as days go by.

We'll see how this second shot works!

Thanks and Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning all!

Monica, please know that we are here for you.  Everest is a good school.  I had an instructor who came from there and she was great.  If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

I have heard very good things about ordeing shoes over the internet.  The prices are usually very good and it is easy to find sizes.  I believe that most companies will pay for shipping returns if the size doesn't fit.

Today is starting out busy.  Liz is home with a cold and I am trying to keep Meredith at bay so Liz can rest.  I need to go out to the farm to pick up the veggies in a bit and then I'm off to class tonight.

I did get the wood art website up and you can view it as soon as the DNS servers translate the name.  go to
www.woodartbypaul.com and you can see samples of my stuff.  If the address doesn't work, just try back tomorrow.

The get together is firm for the 17th of October at 1pm.  Please PM me if you can make it and let me know what you would like to bring.

That's all for now.  Have a great day and keep smiling!

Paul

Have a great day!
