WWII Days in Rockford
This coming weekend is the WWII days at Midway Village in Rockford. There are usually over 800 reenactors and some come from different countries. They reenact batles in the field and they do skirmishes in the village.
There are people that portray American, German and Russians. I am there with an excellent homefront display. They will have the french cafe open. All the buildings will be open for tours. This event usually draws over 7000 spectators for the weekend.
On Saturday night we have a USO dance. There are vendors that are selling WWII items. I hope I see some of you there. It is a great weekend. I will be dressed as Rosie the Riveter and I am in the white 2 story house by the barn. I have a sign in front of the house that says:
WWII Homefront Helpers. If you are able to make it, just introduce yourself, I would love to meet some of you face to face.
