Friday Roll Call

Good Friday to one and all.

Work here in a short while and then afterwards out to celebrate with a few of my co-workers for my 30th.  (wine for me) They did have cake for me in the afternoon yesterday and they also put a congrats to me on the message marque in front of the village hall/police station. But what is up with this - my immediate supervisor never even said anything to me about the 30th and he left early before the cake was served. Jeeezzz . . .

Shame on your immediate supervisor - it would have been the decent thing to do, to acknowledge and congratulate you on your accomplishments!

Today is another work day. Weekend plans with the family.

I got to sleep 2 hours; then up to the bathroom and pain med; then back to bed for another 2 hours of sleep. So, it's a bit better. I got some new Homedic pillows off of HSN - that provide better support of my knee. So, I'll try that.

Val (aka Willow) connected me to a website with valuable information on handling knee pain, what to eat and avoid, traveling, exercise, etc. So, I'll be trying anything to make it better.

Hope everyone is doing well. I want to be my old self again!

I'm sooo glad it's Friday.  I hope it goes by fast, I want to start my weekend.  Not that I have any big plans.  It's just that anything is better than coming to work and I can sleep in. 

My friend is doing well.  She is resting at home.  I will visit her this weekend.

Christine I think that was pretty crudy of your immedicate supervisor to not say anything to you.  How often do people stay at the same job for 30 years now a days.

Crystal I am glad your friend is home and doing a little better.

Well 1 more day of work for me and then the weekend.  Saturday I am cleaning house and getting a massage.  I can't wait.  Sunday I have to go to a memorial service for a friend who died of liver caner.  He died way too young.

I agree, your supervisor could of at least mentioned it.

I am working today but we have a short crew, just me and one other.  My boss has been fishing all week, so I have to cover and stay late.   We have been pretty slow, especially on Fridays, so it is not that hard.

Tonight, Todd and I are going to see Rodney Carrington.  Tomorrow, it is the water-park for our grandson and Sunday we are attending a 50th wedding anniversary party for Todd's Aunt & Uncle.  So......busy, busy, busy as usual for us.

That's about it for me.....

Stupidvisor.   is what I should be doing now.  DWs new schedule is throwing off my schedule.  I should go back to now but since I was up I had a protein shake and my meds.

Me, I am working today and the next 2 Fridays. I hate working the 5 days, I then have to cram everything into Sat. I have no plans for the weekend. DH is working, and the kids have personal plans. We are goning for dinner tonight. But that is it for the weekend.

Happy New Year!!!!! I am not doing anything. I am in kind of a funk as they say. I had a Thyroid uptake scan this morning and am waiting for the results. So I have been preparing for this all week with shots. I waited untill I got back from Dallas to do this test.
I am missing my daughte big time so I might drive up to chicago for a while before the snow flies.

Christine, congrats on 30!!!  I'm off to court to take care of a ticket and then back home to do some more wood working.  Last night I mentioned to my class that I am hoping that people will think off my work when doing their Christmas shopping, and one other student said she wanted 12 pens for her family!  Next week we will work out the details.  I'm excited to be doing this work.  I continue to continue with the new band.  Eating is going well, but my skin is very irritated on my stomach.  Hopefully, that will subside shortly.  Have a great weekend everybody!

I have been checking out protein drinks today.  So many to choose from,   I'm concerned about taste.  Wish the companys would have trial sizes.
