Good morning all. Not much going on in my world, I know hard for many of you to believe that.

I have my coffee  going right now and then I will fix some b-fast to take with to work and enjoy there while getting the office ready for the day. It still is nice weather for me to ride my bike into work and I hope to still do so up until about the end of October.

Good Morning Christine and All,

It would be great if I could ride a bike or walk to work, but I don't have that luxury. I have a laptop plus to slep to work each day, plus 2 of my offices are out of town.

Its thursday, so I don't have to leave for wor****il 7:45. Thats a late morning for me. I may try to go to the store after work today, since I have to work tomorrow. That will be an even later start, I won't leave until 8:30.

Nothing else is going on in my world. It is mostly dull.

Where are Connie, Cat, Dee, Janet K and Janet H hiding? Facebook is fun, but come home and check in. We miss you.

Hugs, LISA

Hello everyone

Well I can't wait till tomorrow...I love Fridays.

My best friend has had the Lap Band for 2+ years and has lost 220 lbs.  Well lately she has had problems and she went into see the doctor and he said she has a slip so he unfilled her.  She was supposed to go in to see him tomorrow for an upper GI.  Well she is in the hospital right now doubled over in pain.  I think they might need to remover her band.  I'm very worried for her and I know she will be very panicked because she doesn't want to regain her weight.  I was talking to her when she got a total unfill and she was worried then.  I feel bad for her.

Bad news seems to be all around me.  I'm afraid to answer my phone in case its more bad news.

Well enjoy the day.  See ya later.

Good morning Christine and IL family.

It does sound like we are having a hard time in different parts of our lives. I'm hoping that we get some relief soon and be able to share some good news.

I'm probably going to go home early today to rest. I almost took the day off and then decided the latter. I am so sleep deprived.

Thanks to everyone for your messages and prayers.

Have a wonderful Thursday.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today and have a pork roast in the oven to make Paul's Pulled Pork.  I just LOVE the automatic feature!

Todd and 3 of his friends are going to the Cub's game today.  They go every year and get bleacher seats and have a "guys day".  I hope they have fun, the Cub's win and that they come home safely.  The kids and I will enjoy our dinner and then I will take David to Scouts.  Liv and I will just hang out.

We are taking our grandson to the indoor waterpark Saturday for his birthday.  Liv and David will hang out with him all day and they should have a blast.  He might even come home with us and if it is warm enough, David will put up a tent so they can sleep out Saturday night.

That's about it for me today.......

Everyone have a fantastic day!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to checkin! Not that you guys ever notice me ...

I had my meeting with HR yesterday to put in for my leave of absence. I am excited that if I am off for 6 weeks, I will be paid at normal pay. If I go over 6 weeks, I will be paid at 50% of my pay . At any rate, I hear that I should not be off more than 6 weeks anyay, from what i hear of everyones stories.

Good Morning Christine and Illinois Friends.

Happy Friday Eve!

It is darned chilly this morning.  I had a hard time getting out of bed because snuggling under the covers felt so good.    Could have stayed there several more hours but alas, work calls.

Not much going on in my corner of the world.  My herniated discs in my neck are acting up again so that is making life interesting.  They are causing pain and numbness all the way down my arm as well as pain in the neck.  Ugh.  And there is not much they can do for this.  I was off work 3 months 2 years ago when this first happened.  I guess I have to make the doctor rounds again.  Just don't want to go there.

Well, I have to scoot for work.  Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone.  This is my first post here.  I'm  having Lapband on Oct 6.  Emotions are high.  I'm planning to go for a bike ride today.

Being 517 pounds did not lead to a lot of activity.  Bouncing around 430 and 440 now gives me a little bit more energy.

The time I have been placed in limbo on my surgery I have used to quit cigars and alcohol.  Luckily even though I have participated in addictive behaviors they are relatively easy for me to set aside.  For the most part they are just things I have done because I had way too much time and could not do things that took more energy.

Yesterday I went to visit a career counselor.  The place we meet is very convenient to a cigar shop so I needed a new activity to distract me.  What I did was to go Caputos and pick up a mess of eggplant, asperagus, pole beans, cauliflower and brussels sprouts.  I brought those home.  I cleaned them.  I cut and broke and trimmed everything to prepare for cooking except the pole beans and asperagus.  I froze it all in single and double serving sizes.  When I want lunch then it is really simple to grab a few ounces of something I have cooked or grilled while nuking some veggies.

The pole beans will substitute for something to do on the balcony today and the asperagus will get sauted soon.

Hello everyone,
Thank goodness it is almost Friday.  I was determined to wake up in a good mood today.  That was working until I found doggie diahrhea in the bedroom.  I am watching my dads dog while he is out of town and he got into something yesterday.

I had a fill yesterday and am at 6.75, and yet still no restriction, I am getting really frustrated.

Christine,
Congratulations on your 30 year anniversary at work

Lucy,
I hope you get some more relief from your knee pain today.

Nancy,
I hope you pain gets better today also

Randy,
I am glad you find other things to fill your time, and am also glad you gave up smoking and drinking.  Sounds  like you enjoy vegetables, I wish I did, but they make me gag everytime I try to eat them.

Well better get back to work

Have a good day everyone

Sheri
