God thoughts & RNY

Does anyone think that by us altering our bodies to lose weight God will not be pleased.  I have been thinking about that the pass few weeks. Praying for a answer.

I have a body.

Also I think in the attitude department I am much more interested in being healthy, vibrant and active than what I might look like.

My thoughts during the pro-op phase of my journey always brought me back to the saying,

"If God leads you to it, he will bring you through it". 

I interpreted that to mean that God showed me the option of surgery to get healthy and he guided the surgeon's hands as they worked on me.  This was a comfort to me.

Dawn what a good saying.  I believe God makes everything happen for a reason, he has made this option possible for us and that is why we are all here today.  He is giving us a second chance to make things right and be the happy healthy people he intended for us to be!

I have also been praying about the surgery.I will be having surgery October 13Th. I had this nagging thought that I was going to mutilate my body by having this surgery .What I feel that God showed me is that when Adam an Eve fell in the Garden of Eden we were all mutilated by sin and Jesus was our bypass that made us "healthy" again and in right standing with God the Father. So I feel that I am doing the right thing if it wasn't I feel that the doors to having this operation for me would have been closed.
