Hello everyone. I am new here so I am going to just jump right in!

Today is the start of my liquid diet, wow this kinda stinks. It is difficult but I am pushing through. Work is a bit crazy as usual, but at least it's Wednesday!  yay :) I have a 2 year old boy and we go to gymnastics in Hoffman Estates on Tuesday nights so we were both sleepy this morning.

I hope to meet with an old high school friend on Saturday, but we haven't confirmed yet.

I hope you all have a great day!

Hi everyone,
Just a quick fly by.  Another day another dollar.  The doctor called about my knee xrays.  The patella is not broken, but they cannot see what is wrong.  She wants me to stay off of it (like that will happen lol)  and keep it elevated.  It is feeling better, I guess it is just a waiting game.

Randy, I am glad you got your email with the date, eventually it will set in that you will have the surgery soon.

Talk to everyone tomorrow

Sheri

PS
I hope you feel better soon coachmnowak.  I know it sucks being in the hospital.  My prayers are with you.

Good morning! Well its been a rough couple days. I am back in the hospital and it sucks. Monday evening I had terrible stomach pains and bleeding out my gastric tube area... Rushed to the emergency room and was admitted. Looks like there is a conglomeration of fluid under my inicison and Cahill is going to open it up today and drain it... I love how thorough my doctor is but I HATE being in the hospital! I mean who likes it? Can't sleep, can't get comfortable, boxed in, clear liquid diet again, away from my babies... This really sucks. But as my doctor's nurse says, don't stress; your alive! This isn't a big deal" I just want OUTA here. Keep everyone posted. Ps- gotta love blackberry! Keeps me on OH while in Hosp.

Hi Everyone!

First I wanted to say thank you all for being so supportive and inclusive to us "newbies"  I really appreciate it!

Randy, I am so happy to hear you have a date!

Paul, that is cool that you found a source for your woodworking materials!

Sheri,  I know it is hard but try to stay off that knee until you figure out what is going on!

Omar, Good luck on the appeal.  It's frustrating but sometimes perseverance pays off!

Today is another day of job hunting.  I have a phone interview later today for a Divisional Director of HR.  I am really hoping it turns into something.

Then off to see my horses and take the dogs for a long walk in the beautiful weather.

I hope everyone has a terrific day.

Hello Illinois. I am guilty of lurking. Have been for months. But I am trying to be better about posting. I have more time available in the evenings so I don't make roll call very often.
Another work day. My DH and I are trying to purchase the home we have been renting for 2 years. Unfortunately I have also made some bad decisions in my past that are impacting our ability to get financing but we are keeping our fingers crossed and exploring all possibilities.

I have my first consult with the surgeon on Monday. My mom is going to go with me. I am excited to find out what his requirements are. I know there is a two week liquid diet and 3 pre-op support groups plus a visit with the bariatric dietician. I hope we can get all things scheduled and get a date set soon! I have wanted this for a long time... like many of you... and I am fortunate to have insurance approval. Health Alliance HMO was wonderful. Approved same day as submitted!

Have a great day... Stacy
I am going to ride and show my horse again.
I am going to live a healthier life.
I am going to be a positive role model for my daughter.

Hi Stacy!
It doesn't matter WHEN you post to Roll call....eveings are fine too.  It is just a place to keep in touch when we don't have specific questions relating to WLS.

Have a great day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Welcome to all of the rest of the newbies that I have not named individually. I do know that you are in and about the boards and have questions. I post or respond when I can. Not posting is not like me but I have not had a lick of time to be on the board for other than lurking (mostly) and an occasion post, please forgive me as I do not have the energy at the moment for other than my work and family life. I am living life to the fullest with my family etc. All of you are thought about regularly.

Good Evening everyone,
Well busy day and got lots done today, including my 1 mile on the tredmill, which I ran at a 5.0 that is the fastest I have ever ran I was so proud.  I walked fast and ran.  I hope to make the running longer each time but I was so impressed with my self.

I would like to lose a few more pounds before I check back in with the Dr on Monday.

We will see. I have benn trying to get back on track with my excerciseing and I have done so every day this week.  Pat on the back for me.
Have a great night all!

Good evening, Illinois!

I've been a lurker/ambush poster (no one knows/knew who I was) for about a month.  I didn't want to get too involved in case there wound up being legitimate reasons (rather than insurance reasons) why I wouldn't be a good candidate for RNY.

However, today I got approval (having passed all tests), and also got my date for December!

It's longer out than I wanted, but I'm a school psychologist, so no substitutes are available, and I really didn't want to reschedule everything for 2-4 weeks and be gone just as report cards come out (as soon as that hits, all the teachers and parents want me to find out why little Johnny isn't getting straight As, so it's a crazy busy time).  So this way I'll do ithe surgery right before winter break, and (hopefully) be able to come back to work with everyone else.

So I'm planning on using the time wisely, having SMALL portions of some of my favorite foods that will be gone for a year or so after surgery, eating wisely, and moving around more.  That's a bit difficult because of arthritis right now, but every little bit helps.

Hi everyone,

Dawn, I didn't know it was appropriate to still post on rollcall in the evenings, does anyone besides me read evening posts?

Welcome to all the new folks, I can't tell you how much I've already learned from and enjoyed chatting with all the great people on this board.

I had my CPAP titration study on Monday night.  It was just awful.   I'll have the equipment by next week.  I hope I can stand it.  I'm just praying that I won't need it for longer than the next 6 months or so.  Apparently, I'm not even apneic, but my oxygen levels go down really low about 5% of the time I'm asleep.

I'm getting excited, only 28 days to go before my surgery!
