Tuesday Roll Call
Good Morning Illinois!
I typed a whole long post and when I went to save it, the site froze! So here I go again. Today I have a regular check up with my PCP and then class tonight. Other than that, it's just Meredith and I during the day. I'm thinking about getting a fill since it is getting way too easy to eat whatever I see. I still want to loose another 10 pounds and I fear that I will fall backwards if I leave the band empty. The doctor warned me that this could happen. The party on October 17th looks like it is firm. The class that was threatening that date is definitely not happening on that day, so we are good to go. I will post more details as we get closer.
I hope everybody has a great day!

Good morning every one!
Well, with my son starting 1st grade LAST week, everything was a blur. His b-day bash is this Saturday, so THIS week is its own special blur of party activities, from cleaning the house to buying what is needed to throw a fun Harry Potter birthday party. Thank God I now have the energy to do it all! There will be a moon bounce, so I plan on jumping my tush off in it!
As far as weight goes, I am mostly stable at 150 pounds, which I like. I have been doing lots of incidental and on-purpose walking (having my hubby take our car for work while I walk and do our errands with our kids), so that has caused a couple-pound weight dip that I can live with. I just make sure I eat some ice cream or cookies and milk before bed and all evens out!
Paul, sounds like a fill is a good idea. You'll get those last few pesky pounds off!
Dawn, glad you had a great time in Gurnee! Those were some nice "wows!"
Have fun out there today, guys!

Hello everyone
I am sooo tired. I really need to win the lottery so I don't have to work anymore.
I have to get back on the "Band"wagon. I haven't been eating right or exercising the way I should be for about a week now. I have just been so tired lately. I have no energy during the day and then can't sleep at night. maybe, I will talk to my PCP.
My niece will be talking to investigators today. There is a possibility that he will be formally charged this week. The states attorney thinks that he will for go the trial and just plead guilty. That would be great if he did that.
Well is it Friday yet??? I'm looking forward to the support group in Sheridan. I hope everyone has a nice day. Who knows how many nice weather days we have left before winter sets in. I feel like there's a count down.

Good Morning Everyone,
Crystal I am with you I am exhausted. I can't wait for the support group either. I am really excited, I have not decided what we are going to discuss yet, may just getting to know everyone and what my plans are, and then the next one we will start with Halloween Candy.
This will be a busy couple of weeks, my boss (also my father) will be out of town starting tomorrow until next Wednesday so that means I have to do everything. It is only him and I in the office. We have a WWII reenactment that we are leaving for next Thursday that I still have to make sure I have my display packed up and I have to back 30 dozen cookies for. I also have to iron 10 table coverings and load up 2 cars. The reenactment is in Rockford, I will post later the days and I hope to see some of you there.
I went to the Dr yesterday regarding my knee, she sent me to the hospital, she thinks I may have fractured my Patella. I should find out what the xray says today.
Have a great day everyone.

Great, I look forward to meeting you. I will be in the white 2 story house near the barn. (it is the area where the vendors set up). I will be dressed as Rosie the Riveter, and there will be a sign in the front of the house that says WWII Homefront Helpers.
I will see so many people for 3 days, so just let me know who you are.

Gooood morning I L L I N O I S!
Okay as you can see I am a bit hyper...
Things are well in Rockford. I am excited about my PREP group (not sure what to expect) on next week. It is one of my requirements by the surgeon.
I pose a question it maybe a no brainer, but here it goes. I have a Curves membership, that I just told them to cancel (my 1year is up). Do you think that was a bad move? I think I would get more out going to the YMCA than Curves.
Thoughts?

Good morning Paul and Illinois!
Somehow I missed posting yesterday...just too busy unpacking, doing laundry and grocery shopping. My mother in law is spending two weeks with us so I may lurk a little and post a little. We have plans to go shopping and to the movies. I still need to go to the gym while she is here. Dan and Jen and gramma will be going to see Halloween on Wednesday....I'm not into horror films. Friday til Sunday I will also have Ava, Vince and Hayden since mommy and daddy are both standing up for a wedding. I must be crazy!!!!!
Hope everyone is doing well. Keeping you all in my prayers.

Good Morning Illinois,
No big win at the derby in Sandwich for us but we still had a good time. Looking for some healthy family friendly and band friendly meals, any suggestions or good site's to check out. I am making a zuchini chicken pasta bake that I got off of a site for tonight. Yesterday I made grilled chicken/italian sausage burgers with spinach hidden inside minus the bun and they were so GOOD. Well off to do my grocery shopping and take my girls for there flu vacines! Have a great one all!

I have TONS of recipes and links. I used to post a Recipe of the Day, but I have not done any lately. I still post one when I find a really good one.
What kinds of things does your family like?
Here's on of the board's favorite dessert recipes:
The original recipe called for sugar free chocolate cookies for the crust, but I have not had any luck finding them. I just use the "Oreo" cookie crust available most anywhere. The nutrition facts on the "Oreo" crust state that sugar grams for a 1/8 pie piece is 7. Not only is that below my Dr.'s threshold of 10, but I always figure WLS servings at half of a regular serving, so the sugar grams in the "Oreo" crust is a negligible 3.5.
Raspberry Chocolate Pie 1 "Oreo" cookie pie crust
Two 8-ounce pkgs. reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup Splenda granular (not the packets)
1/4 cup DaVinci sugar-free Raspberry syrup
One 8-ounce container Cool Whip, thawed
1/2 cup sugar-free raspberry jam, warmed
Sugar-free dark chocolate shavings for garnish (again, if SF is available, fine, but I have used the regular Hershey's Dark as there is not enough to worry about)
In a large bowl beat together cream cheese, Splenda, and syrup until smooth. Beat in 1/2 of the container of Cool Whip. Pour filling into crust. Spread warmed jam over the cream cheese mixture. Cover with protective plastic from pie crust and chill for 4 hours or overnight. Garnish with remaining Cool Whip and chocolate shavings.
Makes 14 WLS servings.
Per Serving: 182 Cal; 4 g Protein; 13 g Tot Fat; 15 g Carb; 0 g Fiber; 5 g Sugar; 176 mg Sodium
**If you CAN find the cookies and have the time to make the crust yourself:
1 1/2 cups sugar-free chocolate cookie or chocolate graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl combine cookie or graham crumbs with melted butter. Press into an 8 or 9 inch pie plate. Bake for 7 minutes. Set aside to cool completely.**
