Thursday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Well where do I start...yesterday was a bad day.  My sister found out her boyfriend ***allegedly molested her 13 year old daughter.  It was really bad.  She found pictures...I won't go into detail but they were really graphic.  You just never think this will happen to someone in your family.  Especially this guy, she was with him for 8 years.

I'm really tired but I'm going to try to go to work anyway.  I just didn't sleep very well.  Yesterday, I had issues eating breakfast again.  I will be having a protein drink this morning. 

Well didn't mean to rain on everyone's day but I had to get this off my chest.

Crystal, I am so sorry to hear about your sister and your neice.  It is just sick how people think they can get away with things like that. 

Another day another dollar, getting ready to leave for work.  It helps when you work for your father, and this time of year is really slow, so at times I don't do much but sit around and read a good book.

Getting really irritated I am having a Lia Sophia Party on Saturday.  I invited over 50 people and I have one that is coming.  It might be a good idea to call the Consultant and tell her not to even show up.  She is coming from Poplar Grove and that is about 1.5 hours away and I would hate to have her come all this way for 1 person.

Crystal, I am so sorry for your sister and neice. For you too, having this happen to your family.I am sure if you can't make it throug the day today at work, your boss will understand.

Sheri, I have given up on house parties for that reason. At the age I am, none of my friends like to go to them either. BTW, I will be calling you for directions to your home.

I will be off to work in a few. I am working intown today, so I won't have to drive in the fog. Plus, I get to leave later. Then i am off for a 3 day weekend.

Nothing else is happening in my world. What about yours?

I will be praying for your family. Just tell me she's pressing charges. Your neice will need counseling, I'm sure you guys are on top of that.

I'm having a rough week eating. I'm not eating that much, but off my normal routine is too many hidden carbs. Cereal, weight controlled oatmeal, I've got to go back to my regular boring diet. Protein shakes in the morning, an egg, salad for lunch and maybe dinner. LOL

Today is a new day and a sunny one it looks like.

Hi Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I'm sorry to hear of your family tragedy.  I hope the person responsible has been arrested and dealt with properly.  My prayers are with your niece for her health and emotional recovery.

My wife recently tried to have a Lia Sophia party and ended up just taking orders from people since nobody wanted to come out for the party.  She did okay, but in this economy, jewelry is just not as easy to sell.

Tomorrow is our fifth anniversary and I'm looking forward to celebrating with my wife.  Tonight, class was canceled so I can relax and decide what I want to do for the big day tomorrow.  Saturday and Sunday are art fair days at Harper College.  I'm really looking forward to this show since it will be the first one that I am working that is specifically an art show (not attached to a festival).

The other night I was at a wood turner's meeting and I lost in an auction for a used lathe of very high quality.  The lathe goes for $900 dollars and the fellow who won it paid $400.  I came home at 11:00 pm and looked on Craig's List and found the same model for $200 from a seller who lives in the next community over!  It came with some extra tools and a stand!!!  I picked it up last night and now have it set up in my garage.  I guess God was looking out for me in my financial situation.

It is an arts and crafts fair with a good representation of both.  I don't recall it having too much high end art, however there were very fine things at the one I attended in the Spring.

OMG Crystal...will pray that your niece has no further trauma from this. It is so disgusting to think that he thought he could get away with something like this...he needs to be strung up by his b****. I cannot tolerate child molesters.

The sun is shining brightly today....but for us it is a sad day. My DIL's mothers wake is today and tomorrow is the funeral. It will be a long two days then we will be on our way home. I wish I could stay a little longer but can't. 

Praying for all the troubled people. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Oh Crystal!!!!!  I am SO sorry to hear that this has happened in your family.  I hope she is pressing charges and I'm sure you will all take very good care of your niece.

Sherri, I feel for ya.  I do not really do "parties" either, kind of like Lisa.  I would rather just have my friends over for a party, no sales involved.

I made the "Chicken to Die For" last night and it was good, but not really "to die for".  It needs to be tweaked a little more to lose some of the fat content, but it was a keeper.

Tonight, the boys have a Scout meeting and I think I need to go to the theater's board meeting to see what is happening with my middle school group.  Not one kid showed up last month and now I am having a hard time getting back on track.  With school starting and all, I can't seem to get anyone to return my calls about when they want to meet again.  Everyone seems to be very busy.  We will see.

We are booked for Friday and Satruday in Gurnee and the kids are very excited.  I got a really cheap room.  Hope it is big enough for all of us!  It is walking distance from the park, so we can save $$$ on parking.  I hope we have a good time.  It will be my first roller coasters since losing weight and I know that the walking will not bother me at all.

i am the newbie and figured since i am off work for the next 4 weeks i would chime in.

Prayers and healing are whats needed for Crystal and her family... while justice is an unsaid- always focus on the family and the victim...  my prayers and thoughts will be with you.

Those house party's are brutal!  My mother sells "Southern Living"  home goods... she loves it!  It is a little pricey but it is very nice merchandice...  she cant understand why she doesnt sell more stuff and people are not willing to have partys...

I started soft solids yesterday...  i am kinda suprised with my head hunger... being my second go around i thought i would have more control of it...  I am also suprised with how much i actually took in...  An 11oz protein shake doesnt nec. fill me up....  All in all my i know whatever i am taking in isnt nearly what i used too.

Does anyone have any experience with a GASTRIC TUBE?  It was put in to "DEPCOMPRESS" the old stomach...   MY surgeon put one in and i have it until Sept 24.  WHAT A PAIN IN THE BUTT this thing is...  If anyone has any insite about this G-TUBE thingie- please share.
