Lisa, what I do with purchases like that is put notes in my Outlook calendar as to where I hide gifts and then I get little reminders before the event.

Nic and I have already been out to the local trout pond and caught 6 nice ones (Nic caught 4 big ones and I caught 2 little ones).  Now I have to smoke them and do some other chores before we have guests for a BBQ this after noon.  I hope everybody has a great Sunday!

Paul, is that the little lake on Rt 31 just west of the bridge over the Fox?

Yes.  It is called Lake Jillian and they have a trout pond up on top that costs $6.00 a pound (You have to keep all that you catch).  Their larger lake below is stocked with bass, cat, trout, northern, etc...  and you can keep what you catch or release.  That is a straight $8.00 a day with limits on each kind of fish, but no additional charges.  The trout pond is kind of like fishing in a barrel in that you will catch fish and quickly.  The lower lake is more like real fishing but at a really good spot.  Nic isn't ready yet to fish the lower lake, in that he's still impatient.  But we will probably start there the next time we go out and move to real lakes and rivers next year.

Christine, what a great neighbor you are!  I hope your friend heals quickly and can take the gardening chores back from you soon.

I have't posted on roll call for a while, I've been working 14+ hours a day, and just had a few quick minutes to read everyone's posts.

Paul, I'm glad you are feeling better post-op, that must be a relief!   Dawn, it sounds like things are going better in your family, I hope you can get Todd talking with you more often.  I have to remind Steve frequently that I can't know what he's thinking if he doesn't TELL me.  Randy, I hope that you are successful finding a doctor who can help you.  You've worked so hard to get to this point.

Things are going pretty well for me.  I finally have a surgery date, OCTOBER 14!  YES!!!!  Now I feel like I can start planning for the next few months as far as work, childcare and what needs to get done before I'm trying to recover from major surgery!

We are taking it easy this weekend.  We will probably spend some time at Buffalo Grove Days and pick some tomatoes from our garden.  It's nice to spend some time with my husband and daughter just BEING.  Not HAVING to do anything or go anywhere!

They are such great neighbors and a huge blessing to the neighborhood especially since the people that used to live in the house before them were slobs.

It is nice to wake up today and realize that there are 2 more days left to this weekend!  Today I want to go to the grocery store.  If I dont, I will have some very unhappy cats as I won't have enough food for them.  They have plenty of dried food but not the canned.     Spoiled brats!  

I talked to my sister yesterday and am really excited for Thanksgiving.  My new great nephew should be 2 - 3 weeks old so I will get to see him!  I am glad I bit the bulled and got the airline tickets.

No other special plans for today but to relax and enjoy these last days of summer.  Have a great day!

I was at the Morton Arboreteum today and walked all over the place.  It was so nice outside.  What a beautiful day.  We decided to walk the prairie paths.  Loved it!

This week will be 1 month that my insurance will have my paperwork.  I should be getting an answer this week.  I was told that I would have to wait 30 days and I can't believe it is here.  If you do, think good thoughts for me this week.
