Choosing a Hospital

I am approved and witing for surgery!  I have a choice of hospitals - wither Highland Park or Evanston.  Right now, I am scheduled for HP, but am wondering if I shouldn't switch to Evanston??

Ask your Dr. office if they can give you an idea of which one may be the better choice.  Thats what I did!   Good Luck

I'll be in your shoes in a couple months with the same surgeon.  I've had procedures (orthopedic) done in both hospitals... so far, the biggest difference is that Evanston is all private rooms, and HP wasn't as of last year.

So - if your family can get to Evanston easily, you might find it easier to rest and recuperate there.

I agree with the other posters. If one has private rooms, that would be the winner to me. You'll need your rest and not want a roommate if you can help it.

I had a private room in San Fran and my husband stayed with me night and day. It was great.
