Monday Roll Call

Good morning Illinois!

I'm up and  better than yesterday.  I'm still in a bit of pain (mainly muscles around the area like arms and shoulders), but I'm dealing.  The down side is that I've gained 2 pounds!  But I realize that is just the healing process.  I've only been eating soups so I know I will start to go the other way as soon as my body recovers.  I've decided to take the day off of school and send Meredith to daycare.  Liz is talking about possibly staying home to help me out, so that will be nice if she does.  I ttok all the bandages off and other than looking a little like Frankensteins monster with all the staples, all looks clean and proper.  I will see the surgeon on Thursday and hopefully, he will say that all is going as planned.  I do know that the soups are passing with much more ease then they did before the new band.  Of course, I worry that I'll start eating everything in site, but I'm pretty disciplined and will follow the program.  But it is different when I "can" eat compared to before when food simply couldn't get down.  But isn't that what we are trying to learn about???  Have a great day and stay warm.

Good morning Paul and IL family.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better and that food is staying down again.

Today I'll get the results of my MRI so we'll see. I can't believe that the pain is just arthritis - it's got to be much more.

My mom is helping me financially with my debts - my home equity loan and charge bills. Once that all gets paid off, I'll feel so much relief. It's been a tremendous burden the past 3 years.

Nothing else going on. Work, work and work with pain.

Wednesday is my doc appointment again.

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Lucy

I don't want to say I hope it is something other than arthritis except that at least they can really treat that. I hate to tell you that if it is arthritis, it can hurt like a bi**h.  I can't begin to describe the pain that I have.  I have it in so many of my joints.  I consider arthritis a 4 letter word and get so tired of being told that new pain is arthritis.  I guess the good news is I dont have too many joints left in which I dont already have arthritis so I dont have to anticipate that diagnosis much longer.

As for treatment, surgery is the only answer when the joint becomes disintegrated.  My thumb is on the list in the near future.  Hugs.

 Good Morning Paul and Illinois!

Paul, if there is a good thing about this surgery, is we get to hear more from you!  I am glad you are taking it easy today.  I also am glad to hear that food is going down easier.  That has to be a HUGE relief!

It is Monday so back to work and the daily grind.

Today I need to get in contact with my doctor's office to get my blood test results and schedule an appointment for what I think is an incisional hernia or two.  I really think I definitely have on on one side and now I am not so sure there is not one on the other side as well.  Either that or painful scar tissue.  I put my elastic support band on yesterday and it helped.  Dug it out from surgery.

No special plans for this week.  I am still in Physical Therapy.  I am enjoying the fall like weather.  It is my favorite season.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois!

I am so glad to hear that you are doing well and feeling better, Paul!  Take it easy and take good care of yourself.  I'm sure that Liz will also take very good care of you.

What an exciting weekend!  Omar has a date, Christina celebrated her 3 year "surgiversary", we heard from Christine and Kim, Lisa is going back to work, and a few newbies are posting!!!!  How COOL it THAT!  I may have forgotten some too as I have the CRS too.

We had a great time tie dying and I will rinse the second wave today when I get home.  Everyone is really getting the tecniques down and we are really producing some quality pieces!  I spent most of the day/night mixing dyes and teaching so I actually dyed my pieces yesterday.  I will post pictures when they are done.  We have quite a few "virgins" attended this time and I love sharing this art form.

I have another medical test tomorrow and hopefully, that will be it and we can get some answers.

That is all my excitment for today, everyone have a lovely day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning Paul andIllinois!

Paul...stay off the scale for a couple of weeks.....the scale is not your friend.....I was down to 207 and mysteriously this morning I'm back at 210.....the scale is not my friend either......glad to hear that you are feeling much better!

The concert series for Frankfort ended last night. We went but didn't stay to the end. It was just too cold to sit and listen to the music. The Lockport series ends tonight.....I'm soo sad....this signals summer is over...Have you noticed how early it is starting to get dark?.....makes me shiver thinking about it.

Today's agenda....laundry....a few errands....exercise at home....concert.

Leaving in a few days to WV and my visit with the grandsons. I can't wait to see them. My daughter in laws mom is still in the hospital. She has stage 4 bone cancer. I'll visit her while we are there.

Hope all is well with my OH friends. Keeping you all in my prayers.
Have a great day!

Good Morning All -

I'm off work from both jobs today.. I've already been out and about but now need to stay put until I get a delivery from UPS.  I have quite a few phone calls to make to get things resolved with yes.. the favorite word we all love to hear....... INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!  They are not paying any of our bills and if it's not resolved soon, it may effect our credit.  I don't want that to happen.

Glad to hear Paul is doing well.  Lucy, I hope you get some answers to what needs to be done w/ your knee.
Dawn, thanks for the kind words.  I can't believe it's been three years.  Good Luck tomorrow w/ your test.  I hope this is the last of your testing and you can move on with a solution to your problem you've had for so long.  After dealing w/ this issue for so many years, you will not know how to act when they do get you all fixed up.
Nancy -  I really do hope it's not a hernia.  Sending prayers.
Carol -  The scale is not my friend either.  Wishing you a safe trip.  Have fun w/ those babies.

Have a great day everyone!

Hello,
Better late then never. I just got home from my first day back to work. It went the way I figured it would. This whole week will be early to go and late getting home, but thats ok. I did find out today I got a 7% raise starting tomorrow. That was a nice surprize.

Paul, I know you are doing what you are suppose to do. You will be losing again in no time.

Lucy, It is nice that your mom can help you. I know you appreceiate all the help she does give you. And I know you help her in many ways also. I am sure the docs will get to the bottom of your pain.

Carol, I know how much you have enjoyed the concerts this summer. You can dream about next summer and how much you will enjoy them.

Nancy, I do hope you get to the bottom of your medical problems as well. this has gone on long enough.

Randy, think good thoughts. It will happen for you.

Christina, I hope you enjoyed your entire day off from work. You need to have a relaxing day. Even if you are dealing with insurance companies.

I am going to take a shower and relax the rest of the evening. Tomorrow will start he@@ week.

Hugs,

LISA
