BCBS Mistake

Okay...I received a call from a really nice lady at BCBS this morning.

She stated the the rep who said that I was denied last friday over the phone was out of order. She stated that she was only a claim rep, not a medical reviewer. She also stated she would be talking to her superviser.

The nice lady went on to say that she knew I was freaking out allll weekend...She stated I had a lot of good information, and the review board will be looking over the information soon.

She stated that there was NO way that they would of been denied me within 6 hours of receiving my predetermination package.

She wanted me to hold off on the appeals letter. Also she told me that she would keep a eye on it, to let me know when a decision had been made.

Now, I am just hoping they approve me! IF I have alot of good information to help me fight this!

I am glad that you have someone on your side at BCBS of IL.  That is a really good thing.

I would still be braced for a denial though......if BCBS says the DS is experimental, you are bound to receive at least a first denial.

I hope that is not true in your case, but if you are prepared for the worst, you may be pleasantly surprised.....
