Good morning Illinois!

It is a much nicer morning today than yesterday.
The sun is shining brightly and it's not as cool.

Not much going on around here.....tonight I'm going to Frankfort for a concert. I'm going to miss them when they are over. After tonight there is only one more week left. Where has the summer gone?

What's on your agenda today?
No matter what your doing today, be sure that you enjoy it!

Have a wonderful day!

Well we are back from our mini vacation downtown.  Everybody had fun and we did a ton of walking.  We went on boat rides, to the top of the Hann**** to the aqurium and all over the Loop.  Nic got to ride on the subway for the first time, and we stood outside the WGN radio studio and waved.  Now it's back to the real world for a very busy week.  I have class every night and a massage event on Wednesday and Thursday, then I get my lap band removed and replaced on Friday morning.  I'm scheduled for a 7:30 operation so that gives me the whole day Friday plus the weekend to recover.  I then have classes starting Monday evening again.  I have an art show in Lake in the Hills the following Saturday, but Liz will help with all the setup and break down so I should be okay.  I'm a little scared, but excited about the prospect of being able to eat without throwing up!  Today I have a paper to write, but then I intend on enjoying the day around the house.  Have fun everybody!

Hi Paul! ...it looks like you and the family had a great time on your mini vacation. You  have a busy week ahead of you. I can't believe that they are removing and replacing your band at the same time. I will be keeping you in my prayers for a speedy recovery.  Get your paper done and enjoy the day!

Good luck on Friday.  Please do take care of yourself and do not overdo it on Saturday.  If I am reading this right, you are planning to go to a show the day after your surgery.

I wish you and uneventful surgery and hope that everything goes smoothly.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Made a few bad choices this week.  Time to get back on track.

Still Waiting.

Hopefully Willow today and one other short trip out.

Waiting is the hardest part of this whole journey.  I tried to tune it out and forget it.  In fact, when I got my letter of approval, I did not open it as I thought it was an insurance statement.  I opened it about a week later and was stunned!

I have the feeling that you will hear this week.  Hang in there.

Good morning Carol and Illinois.

I am busy cleaning all the sawdust and regular dust out of the house.  We had our kitchen remodeled this past week, and it seems no matter where I clean, I turn around and there is more dust.

Tomorrow I start work, and I am so excited.  I love working on the bus with the handicap children!

This weather is tearing up my sinuses real bad.  We have our a/c off, but I see we may have to turn it back on in the middle of the week....yuck!  I love to open my hose up and get some fresh air.

I am really sorry about being away so long, I got addicted to facebook, and I went through some major depression after mom's passing, and my sister acting like a butt, yet, here I am still standing, and ready to be back in full force.

Have a blessed day!

Dee

Hi Dee...nice to see you again! I remember when we remodeled a kitchen many years ago....it was messy and the dust was crazy....oh, well, I bet the new kitchen looks great! I try to stay away from facebook....haven't been to successful either....but I limit how much time I spend there. I'm not joining any groups......

Good luck on your job!  That sounds like a lot of fun.  My great niece has Down Syndrome and has ridden the special bus and loves her bus driver.  The drivers make such a difference in the kids lives.  It takes a special person to do this for these kids.  Have a wonderful school year!
