Friday Roll Call

Good morning IL family.

It's Friday and the weekend is almost here. YAY!!

Everyone seems so busy with life and family. Kids going back to school, waiting for insurance approval, etc...

Anyone hear from Beyondthebeauty? I think she was having surgery this week, the past Monday?

Yesterday the travel was better - only took us 1 hour to get downtown. The rain slowed us down. I left earlier and didn't stay for the dinner.

Today will be a brief day with morning sessions only.

I am glad that the week is over with my upcoming doc appointment on Wednesday.

Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful day no matter what you are doing or not doing.

Hugs and Love,
Lucy

Good Morning Lucy and the rest of IL!

I pray that you have a great weekend with minimal pain Lucy!

I had a great day yesterday with my sister and my niece and her kids.  It was a gorgeous day out by her and we just had a great time sitting around playing with the kids and talking.  It's an hour and a half drive so my sister and I also got to do a lot of talking and stuff too.  She's my best friend in the whole world and we can talk to each other about anything and everything.  Right now we're very worried about our dad, he's having some heart issues and will be having a nuclear stress test next Tuesday to see if he will need a pacemaker or what's up.  He's having some very serious A-fibs and also his heart stopped for 3-4 seconds the other night. (he's wearing a monitor and the Dr called him in the very next morning because of this)  please keep him and our family in your thoughts and prayers.   I am very lucky to still have both of my parents with me.

Today I am not doing much until around 4pm.  Then I am headed back to my sister's house and we are going to the Morten Auboratum (sp?) for some concerts there tonight.  We'll be seeing The Lovehammers and The Plain White T's.  I haven't heard of either of these bands, but she really really wanted to g and her husband refused to go with her.  I told her I would and since it will be no kids, it's our girls night out!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and stays, warm, dry and safe!

Monica

I wil be thinking of your dad and praying for your family.

I think it's great that you and your sister have such a great relationship.  Unfortunately, my sister and I don't.  We just don't get along.  She has a way of always saying little snide remarks and putting me down.

The Lovehammers and The Plain White T's.  I haven't heard of either of these bands

The Plain White T's is a band from Villa Park, where I live.  They are a great group of guys.  I met them once, way before they became famous.  Some of their popular songs heard on the radio are Hey There Delilah and 1, 2, 3, 4.  Their music can be heard on the Mix.  The Lovehammers are more of a ROCK band.  Marty Casey, their lead singer, was on a reality show a few years ago.  The one where they were trying to find a new lead singer for INXS.

Hello everyone

I have the day off today.  Because I have to take my daughter back down to Champaign (she starts school Monday).  She is living in a nice old house this year, with 3 other people.  I didn't have near enough time with her this summer.  Oh well she's excited to get back and start school again.  I'm glad it will be cool outside.  Maybe I won't sweat like a pig.

I checked my weight for the first time in two weeks, mostly because I was getting mad the scale wasn't moving.  I lost 5 pounds!!! woohoo!!!  I'm feeling a little better now.  I was starting to get very impatient and second guessing my choice to get Realize Band.  I know it's a slower weight loss than with RNY.  I just need to not get down on myself if the scale doesn't move one week.  I go for my 4th filll on 9-4.  I can't wait either.

Well I hope everyone is doing well and going enjoy the weekend.

 Good Morning All,
Got Gloria on the bus, might try and work out a little today.
Trying new protein and shake recipes.  Plan on ordering some samples on line this week.
Going to Drive Mom around a little today, then get ready for daughter's Birthday party in the morning.
I have my 6 week check up next week, can't believe it already.  Feeling really good and have had to buy clothes already. I will need to get new jeans soon for fall. Found a consignment shop new me to sell  my old suits and dresses , and will do some shopping too.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Same days it doesn't pay to chew the restraints off...

Hi everyone,

I am off work today,  with just one meeting I have to call in to at 1 pm.  It's going to be a good day to catch up on laundry and paperwork so I can enjoy the weekend.

I received my surgery approval letter from the insurance company yesterday!  Now I just have to get my slow as molasses surgeon's office to schedule me.  It will be such a relief to be able to plan my schedule for the next few months.

Emily's after school program really screwed up yesterday and let her be sent home on the bus even though she was supposed to be with them.  I got a call from my neighbor who brought her home with her two girls.  Thank goodness she was there and Emily knows that the neighbor is one of our emergency people that she can trust!  I was livid!  I don't know if I've ever been that angry.  Emily's only 6 years old and it was the first full day of first grade!  I raised such hell, they'll probably be carrying her on a parade float from class to the after school program today!

Have a good weekend everyone.

Congratulations on your approval!!  That is so exciting.

I work with kids at a private preschool and we just closed our after school programming, so I know what you're talking about.  Is it at her school?  I can't believe they would screw up something like that.  Sending your child home, when no one is at home is scary.
