I LOVE my protein shakes!!!!!

I found the ones I love by getting samples and charting my responses to them.  I actually made a spreadsheet, but that is just my "anal-ness" showing.

I ordered most of my samples from www.vitalady.com.  She carries only proteins that are GOOD for us.  I compared ALL the chocolates, vanillas, et****il I found the ones that I like.

On the other hand, I also like the "Body by Fortress" from Wal-Mart with some added flavor and the GNC brand of Chocolate Caramel is really good too.  GNC does not have samples, but will let you return any unused samples for a full refund within 30 days.

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi and welcome.

Eggs can be problematic for some of us. Over time, you will find out what foods you can tolerate. Although, it can happen that the food your pouch tolerates one day, doesn't work out another day. A fickle pouch! Eventually it all works out.

Concentrating on me but the rest of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Doing more than waiting.  See my other post.  Aug 27 may still be the day.

Randy

So you have been forgiven?

Hi Randy.

It sounds like you finally got your approval and possibly a date.

I'll have to check out your other post.

Congrats!

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone's Wednesday is going well.  Lucy, I'm sure sorry the pain is getting in the way of everything you are trying to accomplish.  That must make all the other stressors in your life even harder to deal with.   If you ever want to meet somewhere for coffee (or a water!) and a chat, let me know!  I'm happy to listen.

Today was Emily's first day of 1st Grade!  I feel so sad, like I'm losing my baby!  She doesn't just belong to us any more, she'll have her own world away from home now.  On the other hand, I've gotten so much done today, and it feels good to have a few minutes to myself.

I had my upper endoscopy yesterday.  They found a hiatal hernia and some stomach polyps.  According the the nurse, it's not unusual to find polyps in the stomach of someone who takes anti-acid meds long term.  It's a little nervewracking waiting for the biopsy results, though.   I'm guessing that my surgeon can fix the hiatal hernia when he does my RNY.  I'll find out in the next few weeks, I suppose.

Haven't heard from insurance yet, either.  It's so hard to wait on all these answers.  I'm getting scheduled for so many things at work, and I can't promise that I'll be able to complete them.  The uncertainty is the worst thing about this process.

Cheers, everyone, have a good rest of the day.

Hi Stephanie.

I'm sure it must have been difficult for you to take your daughter to school for the first time and leave her there.

I think they can fix your hiatal hernia at the same time as doing the RNY. I got a hiatal hernia after my RNY. My doc found it when he was doing my band and lap gallbladder removal! I didn't have any symptoms though. That was the funny thing.

I just might take you up on your offer to get together for coffee soon,

The insurance waiting is one of the most trying times of the whole process. Good luck in getting an answer soon.

Hugs,
Lucy
