Good Morning. Can you believe, August is 1/2 over? Where has the summer gone!

Not to much on my agenda today. I want to get the back bedroom finished, and I need to empty the refrig, so they can bring the new one. Kitchen will be a mess for a while today. I would like to get some walking in later also.

DD is going to an informational meeting for her gastric bypass tomorrow night in Peoria. I am going with her for suport.

Anyone got anything on thier agenda today?

Maybe we should declare this a lazy day and do nothing. We don't get enough of those.

I did go to the farmers market yesterday. Picked up some spaggetti squash, both green and yellow beans, some corn. Haven't decided what to do with them yet.

Have a great day, stay safe.

Hugs, LISA

Good morning!

I've been busy making a knitted winter coat--just the thing to do in the hottest month of the year! I get so busy with these projects that I have forgotten to get on line. All in all things are going well here for us. I could always lose more weight but I can do so much more than I could that I'm happy being able to do what I can.

Hope everyone has a good day today!

Connie -

When you finish your coat, I would love to see a picture.  I love the sweater you had on the time I met you at the meet/greet at the bowling alley.  You are so talented.  I bet the coat will really be nice.

Good morning!  Not much going on today.  I am still in my pjs.  :)  I have to do some things for work today, but I can do it at home.  I will probably head out to the garden to do some weeding.

I am a preschool teacher and we are gearing up for the beginning of the school year.  I also work in administration, so I also have that aspect of the job.  I am getting ready for the teachers and the students.  It is so hard to believe that in one week the teachers come back.  It really seems like just yesterday it was the beginning of June and the summer lay before me.

 Good Morning Lisa and Illinois!

I agree that it is hard to believe that August is halfway over and with it summer!  It seems like we were just starting summer!  The older I get the faster the time goes.

I had my lazy day yesterday.  I slept in and played on the computer and never got out of my jammies.  I love days like that.  I have a sore throat so do not know if I am trying to come down with something or if it is allergies.

Today I need to go grocery shopping. Hopefully I will dodge the raindrops.  It looks like rain is on the agenda here for most of the week.    I would rather have the sun.

Hopefully I am going to get moving soon.  Have a great day!

Saturday

Kenosha - Changed wheels on mobility scooter

Arlington Heights - Trader Joe who suprisingly does mot carry okra. Picked up two cans of their Trader Darwin protein.  Choc and Van, I like both

Far North Schaumburg - Aldi's, was going to just pick up okra and tomato paste but instead did the next week and a halfs shopping.

Sunday - lazy day so far for me,  Cheryl is making two pots of gumbo with chicken, sausage and shrimp, no rue, no rice.  One we will take to a table tonight.

Good afternoon Lisa and Illinois!

Didn't go to the concert in Tinley last night, instead we babysat Hayden. We could have taken him with us but thought better not as the concert was from 7-10 and he goes to sleep for the night around 8 or 9.
Both him and mommy went home awhile ago.
I don't want this month to end....the concerts end at the end of the month. They are so pleasant to attend......free music and you can picnic on the grounds. I will miss them when they are over for the season.

Took a quick early run to Target this morning for a new flat screen monitor they had on sale. They only had two....glad I got there early.

Hope everyone has a great day!
Carol
