Friday Roll Call
It is Friday, the start of the weekend . What is on your agenda for this hot August weekend.?
We should have a normal day today, with the exception of our DGD going to her Dads for the weekend, and then she will be going home on Sunday.She starts back to school on Thursday.
Busy weekend for us. tomorrow we are going to Havana for a charity dinner for their no-kill animal shelter and auction. My sister is involved with it.
Then, Sunday, Sears is to deliver our new 3 door refrigerator
Yeah, we broke down and bought a new one. Ours is 20 years old, and has been leaking water all over the hardwood floor. Not a good thing. Anyway, as old as it is, he decided to replace instead of repair. Hubby worked on Appliances for years, with both Sears and Montgumery Wards, so he knows when something needs to be discarded.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
I have been wondering how Janet was doing....glad that she took a few minutes to stop by and tell us!
I am working for a little bit, then I have the first of 3 tests at the doctor's later this morning. I plan on being back to work this afternoon. I have a colonoscopy on Monday so I might not get a chance to stop in. Tuesday is another test. Once all three are done, I will be meeting with the doctor to see what he thinks about fixing some problems that I have had since my kids were born.
I have my middle school theater group tonight but Liv is at camp for the weekend. She is apprentice counseling for the Girl Scouts this weekend. David did not get "AC of the Summer" but that is OK. He has volunteered over 250 hours this summer at camp! Last night was the last overnight, so I won't see him again until Todd brings him home after Todd's softball game tonight.
Tomorrow, we have training for the air show, then David has an AC party to attend. Maybe my husband will take me on a date? That would surely make me feel better, but we will see. He seems completely clueless about how I am feeling and what is going on with us. I'd like to think it is all in my head, but my feelings are important too. If I do not "feel the love" it is a valid concern.
Sunday, I will be on liquids and Liv will come home from camp.

Janet, glad to hear from you.
For me, I am so glad it is Friday. I could not wait for work to be done yesterday. All the customers were in the mood to argue yesterday. They would call to ask a question and then when you told them the answer, they would argue that this was not the correct answer. Hello, if you think you know the answer, why call? The funny thing was they were wrong and if when they would stop arguing and start listening, they realized they were getting the correct information. Everyone in the call center had people like this. Was something in the air yesterday?
It is not unusual to get one or two a day but it was with almost every phone call! Yikes! I hope today is better. Otherwise, I want to stay home.

Dawn - I hope you can work out the hubby issues. You, too are always on the go, things going on with the family. Good luck with your testing next week. I hope you get some answers with solutions.
Me, well - my knee still hurts - worst at nightime. For me, it's work and family - with my Mom and her changing lifestyle. I could use some "me" time.

Lisa, I am glad that they found your gall bladder problems before they got worse..that is one pain that is just horrible. I had mine out when Jacob was only 4 weeks old!
Today Mike and Austyn are leaving for MN with his mom. His cousin is getting married and since we couldn't afford for all of us to go, I volunteered to stay home and take care of the dogs and make sure Tyler got to football practice today and tomorrow. Jacob will be with us as well.
Other than picking up Tyler from football later, I am taking Jacob to the Eye Dr for a training session on contacts. Hopefully it will go well for him. I have an eye Dr appt tomorrow too as my contacts have had it and I think my eyes have changed in the last year.

First, thanks for all the support yesterday. I am really having a hard time with all this medical stuff and the fatigue has me a bit down. On top of everything else, my mother is acting like a jerk. She has taken to charging us any time she babysits for Meredith and when I asked her to watch the kids on Tuesday while I go for the esophagus scope, she simply couldn't understand why Meredith couldn't just come with my wife and I to the hospital during the proceedure. When I explained that I would be out under sedation, her suggestion was that my wife drop me off and then pick me up when I was through with recovery! Like everybody these days, my mother is in need of money, but being unemployed myself, I simply cannot provide her any. And using my children as leverage is just something I will not allow. Liz's ex's wife has offered to come out from Kenosha and sit with the kids all day. I've offered to give her a free massage when I'm up to it and she said that although she enjoys massage, I don't need to give her a free one! What a nice thing to say. I just wish I didn't have to deal with all the emotional stuff that my mother is bringing up at this time. I'm finding that there are a lot of unresolved issues from my childhood that are surfacing over all this. If I was physically able, I would probably be eating over all this emotional stuff. This morning I go for blood work at the hospital and then it's grass cutting time if I have the energy.
Dawn, I am thinking of you and your tests. You are in my prayers. Also, your situation with your husband. I know that hurdle is difficult, but it is temporary and you'll get through it.
