You are in my thoughts. I am so sorry your Mom is giving you so much grief at this time especially when you could really use lots of support. Sometimes I think parents forget just how difficult it is to balance everything and that it is not as simple as they think it is.
I agree, don't let your mom use your kids as leverage to get her way. That is NOT the solution!
I hope that they can get to the bottom of your stomach/band issues and the fix is not too complicated. Good luck with your scope.

Good Morning ,
Dear BCBSIL gave me the rest of the day off on weds, and the rest of my life!
Yep they eliminated my position. So I got some isopure since it was lunch time and I just couldn't face a shake, and my husband came downtown to get me.
I knew I would have to use new coping skills, but not this soon. NO food, No alcohol, and I can't work out yet, so I took a nap.
Felt sorry for myself yesterday, but I have a Certification exam tomorrow, so I need to study. I've just been drinking my shakes, not into adding any real food , and really DON'T want to be admitted for dehydration, I would throw my insurance card at them!
I have benefits for 17 weeks , so that helps.
Should be an interesting ride.
So if you know anyone hiring a Nurse Case Manager, I'm Here!

I am so sorry to here BCBSIL let you go. I am not very fond of them at the moment, either.
I wish I understood the case manager and nursing arena better. I talk to a lot of medicare/medicaid patients who I cannot help because they cannot pay what it takes for me to repair their mobility products and they do not even know if they have a case manager.

I am so sorry you are going through this. And so close to your surgery as well! As someone who has had their job eliminated twice, I can say I understand some of the emotions you are feeling right now.
I will say this, although the picture may not seem very rosy right now, I have always ended up in a better place. So, hang in there. Things will work out for the best. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Good Morning Lisa and all!
Wow, lots going on here.
Lisa, enjoy your new frig! It is always nice to get something new and try it out.
Janet, can't wait to see ya on Facebook, make sure you befriend all of us, so we can get you addicted like us!
Nancy, you are getting so active, it is great! Keep it up!
Dawn, I still am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a resolved situation with Todd. I hope you get to have your date! It will be good for both of you.
Lucy, Remember to get some "ME TIME" for yourself. I dont do it either and I get burned out so easily.
Paul, I am sorry to hear about your band issues, I hope they can resolve them easily with as little discomfort to you as possible. I hope the tests come out well, and that in the end it all works out. As for your mother, I dont know what she is thinking adding more stress to your life, that is just wrong. Charging you for babysitting? Oh my. Obviously she doesnt realize that a hospital is no place for a small girl who shouldnt have to be cooped up in a waiting room all day with nothing to do. I wish I was closer, Meridith could stay with us. Im sorry you have to deal with all of this on top of your medical issues. I am praying for you for a resolution to ALL of your issues.
This weekend for us is just getting ready for our mini vacation to Springfield on Tuesday. We will do some of the historical sites, some Route 66 stuff, and then go to the Illinois state fair. I am looking forward to getting away even it is only for 3 days. We will be picking up my brother in East St Louis, Il. for him to come and stay with us, which I am looking forward to , as we could always use an extra pair of hands here with Noah. Plus then he will be close to help out with my dad too.
Dad has his second chemo today, pray that it goes well and for minimal side effects. Next week is last one, and then a CT scan to see if it is working or not. THen he starts his chemo/radiation combo, which will probably really tire him out. That is where my brother can help out alot.
Today I think we are going to try a new pool with a small waterpark just for something new and exciting. Then home to BBQ and relax. I am hooked on "Old school" bbq lately and have been using the charcoal grill instead of the gas one. Things taste so much better!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
