Thursday Morning Roll Call
Good Morning Illinois Friends!
Wow, It is Friday Eve! We are almost at the weekend. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Yesterday was a very busy day for me. I had a dentist appointment at 7:30 in the morning, work and then physical therapy. By the time I got home I was beat!
Today is a more relaxed day. Work will be fun today. We are going to have a carnival. There will be games to play, food provided, and for those non weight loss people cotton candy and sno cones. Prizes as well!
We do this once a year. They give us some extra time at lunch to enjoy the carnival.
Other than that, not much going on in my world today. How about yours?
I am glad to see some familiar faces showing back up to say hi! If you are new, don't be shy, we don't bite. Post a note and let us get to know you. All you lurkers, take a minute to say Hi!
Have a great day!

Hi Nancy -
I'm just amazed at how quickly you bounced back after your knee surgery. Hope you have a fun time at the carnival.
So, I don't have much going on. I'm seriously thinking about going back to bed. I don't have to be at wor****il 5:30p so why be up at 6:30am?? I may take a bike ride this morning. Feeling like that is a good plan for me. It's very quiet around the house with Calvin out of town. I miss him a lot.
Have a great day everyone!
Christina

Good Morning Illinois,
We had a great time yesterday shopping for school clothes for the DGD, and a few things for the DGM. By the time we got home, I was worn out, but we still went out to dinner, and then home so DGD could get some swim time in.
Today is housework, a few errands, and make DGD favorite beef and noodles. None for me, beef still isn't good for me, and the noodles, well no pasta.
Nancy, have a fun day at work. You too Lucy. Christina, take the day, until you have to work, and relax. summer will be over to quickly.
At the $ tree the other day, they not only had Halloween stuff out, but Xmas already. And its not even Labor Day!
BTW, Kolhs has a huge sale going on. Especially if you use thier charge card.
You can save lots! Cold Water Creek does too.
Hugs, Stay safe and wear sunglasses today.

Good Morning Illinois!
I have been going through a tough week. In recent times, I have been unable to get solids down through my band. This has been very worrisome since I'm 15 months out from surgery and have surpassed my goal. So I went to the hospital last Friday and had a fluroscope done. The doctor said that the band was very tight, but hadn't slipped. On Wednesday, he tried to extract some fill, but since I never had any fills, all he got was .3 centemeters. After talking, he said he fared that I had some esophagul corrosian and possibly deterioration of the stoma from the band being too small for my manly anatomy. I am even having problems getting liquids down now. So Tuesday I will go for an esophagul scope (yube down the throat) and we'll see the extent of the damage. This will almost certainly lead to having my current band removed and a new one installed in its place. I checked with insurance and they will probably cover it, but they require stuff from the doctor, so I won't know for sure until after the scope testing. Between my worries about finishing my classes, taking care of the kids and general dehydration and malnutrician, I'm a bit of a wreck. Plus I'm a big baby when it comes to pain. Even though I've been through the operation once with no problems, I'm still nervous about doing it again.
On top of everything else, I'm booked for 8 art fairs between now and the end of the year with my wood turning stuff. I'm excited, but I have a ton of work to get ready for them.
That's where I'm at! I hope everybody is having a great summer.

Dear Paul:
Take a DEEP BREATH.......there, now, that's better!
I really feel for you and wish there was something besides "good mojo" that I could do to help.
My only suggestion is tiny sips of protein drinks over the course of the days. LOTS of tiny sips will add up so that you can get your protein in and that will help you to feel a bit better physically.
Take things one step at a time and you will get through it. Remember to be thankful for your blessings and know that we are all here, pulling for you.
You are definately in my thoughts.

Hi Paul,
You will be fine. We all have some issues with the band. I just had testing to see if my gall blatter could be the problem for me vomiting almost every day. We will see what can be done for it.
Just hang in there, and come hang out with us when you can.

Good morning Nancy and the rest of Illinois!
Today is Thursday and tonight is "Family Night" at the camp where David is working. We are all going as it is the last week of the season and they are having a small awards ceremony and ice cream social for the apprentice counselors. Keep David in your thoughts as he is hoping to be "AC of the summer".
Tomorrow, my series of testing begins to see about fixing a problem that I have had for years but just recently thought to bring it up to my doctor. I thought it was just something that I would have to live with, but the doctors say that I can be fixed. I have tests tomorrow morning, Monday and Tuesday. Wish me luck!
I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers and wishing everyone the very best.
Have a spectacular day all!
