Monday Roll Call

My thoughts and prayers are with those who are this morning dealing with bereavement and problems in relationships.  New jobs, old jobs and no jobs you are in my thoughts and prayers as well.

Cheryl and I went to Lake Geneva on Saturday and had our almost 30 year dinner.  Today is our anniversary but we will be having dinner with friends who are entering transition.

Waiting, waiting, waiting.  Cheryl went for a well lady check up on Thursday and the lady filing my papers said it should take just a couple of days.  Perhaps I will hear something today or tomorrow.

I will be home getting some water off of me today.  What will the rest of you be about.

Hi Randy -

Happy 30th to you and Cheryl.  Wow, that is wonderful.
I don't really have much planned for the day.  I have my scheduled work out w/ my trainer at 11:45.  Orientation for my new job at 2:30 and then I need to see if I can find some lite weight oxford shirts.  The one I bought the other day is so hot plus it has to be long sleeve and button at the neck because we are required to wear ties.  Ugh.  Oh well, I hope I can find something this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone

 Good Morning Randy and Illinois

Happy Anniversary Randy and Cheryl!  May you have 30 more years of  happiness.

Not much on my agenda today, work and physical therapy.  Work may be iffy as I just took double the amount of my pain pills.  We will see where I am in an hour.  So much for pills looking alike.  Ugh!  I may be sleeping this morning!

I hope everyone stayed cool over the weekend.  We had strong storms last night and are supposed to get more this morning.  So stay cool and dry.

Have a great day!

Good morning Randy and IL family.
Wishing you and Cheryl a very Happy 30th Anniversary! You must have started today's roll call before going to bed.

Nancy, I almost did the same but wanting to take a water pill, I almost took some old and expired blood pressure medication that I don't need to take anymore. I threw them down the ole toilet! They were 2 years old .

I had a bad flat tire on Saturday. Good thing I was at my sister's house. I got it from the construction site over a bridge on Golf Road. I heard something hitting my car but didn't see what it was. It was the worst looking flat tire I've ever had. I got the spare tire on and have to get my tire either fixed or buy a new one.

My new elliptical is almost put together. It takes a long time. Probably I'll have it by the weekend. All that is left is the foot pedals section. I hope my knee is better by then.

I am sleeping a bit better but nights are the worst for me. It's been a week since I got the shot, so I don't know what to think.

My aunt is going back to Austria this evening, so I'm sure my Mom will be sad. Tonight will be the first time she will be all alone in the house since her husband passed away. These are some tough days and many to follow.

It's a working day so I better get at it!

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Lucy

One never knows about my sleep habits.  They have been pretty normal for over a year now though.  I have delayed sleep phase syndrome and am a long sleeper but it is also never stable so when it was acting up it was a great sleep pattern for a taxi driver.

Happy 30th Randy.

We are coming up on 44 years in January.

We have our DGG with us this week. Today we are taking a road trip up to Fulton, Il to see the windmill there, and just mess around.

When we get home, hopefully the water temp will be higher, so we can enjoy the pool. We need to cut down 2 trees that are really keeping the sun from the pool. This happened about 10 years ago too. I want the trees out, and hes saying trimming. We will see how it goes.

Then tomorrow I want to go to the $ tree and get some locker stuff for her. We were never able to decorate our lockers. Of course, that was in the dark ages.

Wednesday we will be going school shopping. I am going to limit her to 3 stores. Old Navy, Penneys and Kolhs. That will be as much shopping as I can  take.

As most of you know, I am doing alot of walking this summer. Last night, DHdecided we needed to go for ice cream. (I had fat free/sugar free, 1 scoop)
This was after he told me not to walk yesterday. Anyway, I didn't say anything and started walking. It dawned on me, that I actually enjoyed walking . Never thought I would ever say that.

Nancy, sorry you received alot of rain last night. we didn't get any.

Christina, you wll find what you need in blouses.

Lucy, I hope you knee gets better.

Hugs to all, stay safe, use sunscreen, be good.

Lisa

I asked about Dr. Meier today at Physical Therapy.  Since he is director of PT I figured they would know and as far as they all know, he is still at IVCH.  Also, I went by his office and his name is on the door.  So if he had left "under a cloud" I think his name would be removed and the Physical Therapy department would know about it.  I think your friend has some misinformation.

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

WOW!! CONGRATULATIONS on 30 years!  That is incredible.  Enjoy your celebration and each other.  Here's hoping that you get good news from your insurance for an anniversary gift.

Todd and David returned on Saturday evening and they had a wonderful time.  I was really glad to see them and get big hugs from David.  Things with Todd seem better, but there still seems to be something bothering him.  I hope he will let me in so that I can help, but I will give it more time.  He is the "strong, silent type" and it can be very aggravating for me, who is the "let's talk about everything" type.  Oh well.....I will take what I can get and hope for the best.

The good news is that he likes the changes that I made to the bedroom and computer room.

Today, I am working then heading home to make "beer can chicken".  I was going to make this on Saturday when they returned, but it got put off.  Then, last night, about a half an hour before I was planning on starting them, our good friends invited us out for a celebratory dinner.  Tonight is the night for those chickens.  I have them brining in a margarita inspired brine then onto the grill they will go over the beer with garlic cloves stuffed into the necks.  MMMMMMM GOOD!

Everyone have a lovely day!
