Tuesday Roll Call
All right, all right......I'll start the roll call!
Good morning Illinois!
I am working today, taking Liv to the theater at lunch, then home to get the dog to the vet, pick up Liv at the theater, then register the kids for school. Not too much.........
The roofers were all there when I got home yesterday, and they were very noisy. Then, all of a sudden, they were gone! They left a HUGE mess in my yard and a ladder up to the top of my house! I had to call the boss and complain a bit. I pointed out that leaving a ladder up could be VERY tempting to little kids. What if something terrible happened? Hopefully, today they will be better. I DO like the color of the new shingles and can see that it is going to look very nice when finished.

Good Morning Dawn and Illinois
Another day and I am dashing out the door. I was tired this morning so slept longer than usual. So it is rush time this morning. Yesterday was fine at work and PT. They worked me even harder at PT. It is a good workout for me. Finally I am getting some exercise!
Not much going on today. I need to pay bills when I get home from work. Otherwise, I will have some people coming after me!
Usually pay things on the 1st but time has gotten away from me. So it is on my priority list for tonight.

Good morning Dawn and IL friends.
I remember when I got my roof done. What noise and a mess! I felt like my house was coming apart. You'll be happy when it's all done and the mess is taken away.
I went to the ortho doc yesterday. Had xrays of both knees for comparison. My right knee was swollen from the trauma I sustained from trying to move the elliptical out of the bedroom by myself. He told me that I have bad knees - little cartilage in both but the right is worse off because of the trauma. He gave me a cortisone injection and told me to wait a few weeks to see if it clears up. If not, I have to see him again. He did say I could use an elliptical when I feel better.
He did a great job in giving me the injection - not too painful. Thank goodness.
I still had a difficult time with sleeping - as the pain got worse during the night.
I have to give it some time and hopefully with a lot of rest, it will get better. I sure learned a lesson in not doing heavy lifting by myself. Ugh!!
It's off to a brand new working day.
Hope you all are doing OK even with the challenges that life is giving you at this time.

I hope the shot helps. I get shots in my knees every 3 months. It usually takes a few days for it to kick in. I also find that weather changes are not kind on my knees. I have been bone on bone with no cartilage for 10 years so I can relate to the pain. That is why I got one knee replaced and am working at getting the second one done. Baby that knee. I have also found that products such as Biofreeze or Stoppain (available at CVS) both help numb the pain. They are topical sprays or roll on's and I always have bottles handy. Good luck!

My doc won't even consider a knee replacement at my age. I don't want it either. I still have some cartilage in my knees but this injury aggravated my knee.
I'm giving myself some time to see if the shot works, as I was totally exhausted after my stepdad's death two weeks ago. I was on my feet way too much. So now I am babying myself and getting all the rest I can.

Dawn, you seem to be having a normal Dawn day.
Nancy, you can't be late for work. Try going to bed 15 min. earlier each night. also, I used to pay bills by date, some on the 1st and the rest on the 15th, but then i got smart. I deal with the mail one time. When I bring it in the house, I junk the junk, then pay whatever bills come in, either online or by check. Then, after I am done, they get filed andwhatever needs to be mailed gets put in my purse. 10 min. a day max.
We cleaned up our side yard yesterday. It is amazing how little to do to make something look fresh again.
Today I have a few things to do, plus get out and walk. I will try to go walking before the storm****
hopefully, later this week, I will get into the pool. It is starting to warm up, finally.
