I was recently diagnosed with fibro myalgia :(  Besides the pain I have other symptoms. The one that bothers me the most is a flu like feeling with no fever that I get a few times a month! Do of you other fibro myalgia patients experience this? I feel like a mack truck hit me when this happens, hot flashes, chills, weak, tired! Ugghhhhh I hate it!

Sounds more like symptoms of high blood sugars rather than something a Fibro Patient would experience.....are you checking your blood sugar when you experience these symptoms?
If not, I definately would!

Disclaimer: I'm not a fibromyalgia patient. I'm not a doctor. But I can pass on what I know.

"Fibromyalgia can sometimes feel like the flu. You may experience body aches, tiredness, and intestinal problems. The pain in your joints and muscles may be especially bothersome at night, waking you from sleep, or in the morning, when you may feel very stiff and sore. You may have trouble concentrating because of fatigue. Symptoms can last from days to months or years."

Hello,
Yep, It happens , and It sucks!
Not High Blood Pressure , or Diabetes, just Fibro.
Check out the fourm on here and the web site fmaware.org -might help.
Everyone has a little different course, but they all suck.

Just try and hang in there. Just like WLS  you get to know when your fibro is acting up.
I'm only 3 weeks out and trying to lean my body's new responses, and just waiting for a Fibro flare, but so far so good.

I got days I just can't get moving or brain farts are frequent.  I just take it one day at a time.

Good luck !

Same days it doesn't pay to chew the restraints off...
