Vitello patients please respond

I know at least three folks have recently had surgery by Vitello.  I have a tentative date of Aug 27 but no insurance approval yet so I would like to be sure I can begin any diet or vitamin program before my pre-op appointment if the pre-op is hard to get in to see him.  I would also like to do this without bothering the good doctor.

I did not have him...BUT I saw someone posting some disturbing stuff about her aftercare experience with his office on the main boad the other day. Now, that is just ONE person's experience, but it is very recent and worth knowing about, to make sure it does not happen to you.

Just a comment about something you said, Randy...none of us should feel that we cannot call our docs for ANY reason at ANY time we have a question. It should be no "bother" at all if the doctor is truly a "good doctor."

I think what you likely saw was Cheroity's update on her profile where she had issues with weekend and repalcement nurses.

It WAS her, but she posted the following on the main board a few days ago:

Topic: I feel so alone.........

It seems no one could get Vitello's practice on the phone from her local ER for hours when she was having a wound issue. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you sent her a PM and asked specifics.

My choice not his.  He has his cell phone number and email addy on his voice mail and scheduled our appointments as well as answering his cell when I needed to ask about the submission to insurance.

Cheroity's experiance seems odd since this is Dave's doc and we know how well he has done.  That and he has his cell number on his voice mail so I have not talked to anyone in his office but him and the receptionist when I checked in and yes the nurse that called me back.
