Hey Everyone,

Not sure if you have heard the new no longer 6 months diet. Its now 3 months.

And you do not need the last 5 years documentation from your DR.!

I am sooooo Excited!

Really, that is great news but I suggest, you get that in writing, people on the phone at BCBS don't always know what they are talking about and it's a pain to find it out later and you have to postpone the surgery

Oh, its a well known fact that they updated their requirements. They actually mailed letters out to all the surgeons (My surgeon's office had a copy posted on the desk). The Pre-Auth Department shouldn't give any issues when the request is sent in and if by chance they do, well then shame on them. It was actually on the news that BCBS made it easier to get WLS and other insurance companies are doing the same.

Don't worry, there shouldn't be any issues there.
