We have a couple of regulars here that went to Harvard and have only good things to say.  I did not go to Harvard, but I met their bariatric coordinator the other night and found her to be very caring and kind.
Good luck and welcome to the board!

Tell someone that you love them!

 Hi

Dr McClellan did my surgery and it was a wonderful experience!  I highly recommend her and her staff.  I received excellent care while I was in the hospital and follow up care is very good.  I have not regretted my decision to go with Dr McClellan and her staff.  She is highly trained and is an outstanding surgeon. Everyone is very understanding and easy to work with.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  I think you will be very pleased with everyone there.

Thanks Nancy...

I dont know of anyone that have gone through Mercy.

You insight will be great along this journey.

I have an appointment on Thursday.

I glad of the changes with BCBS...Would you recommend using there Nutritionist vs watch watchers...etc.

I excited that BCBS is only require-ing 3 months...now maybe I can have the surgery after all.

I was approved in 2004, but found out I was pregnant. So now 4 years later I am back at it.

I was just diagnose with Sleep apnea...so i am on a mission to lose this weight.

Thanks.

I don't know what BCBS requires for the 3 month diet.  You really need to contact them and ask if weigh****chers is acceptable or if it needs to be medically supervised.  My insurance company required a medically supervised diet with my physician.  Everything had to be documented each month.  Each insurance company is different.

One thing I recommend is to ask BCBS to send you a written copy of their requirements so that you know EXACTLY what they are wanting.  That really helped me because if you rely on the phone, you will get different answers from each of the people you talk to.
