Wednesday Roll Call...........Where is everyone?

Good Morning to all of Illinois.

The blue face this morningis because very few are checking in. Our forum can't continue if we don't use it. Facebook, My Space and a number of other sites are great, but they don't take the place of OH.

Ok, I am off my soapbox.

I only have to work today and tomorrow, then off for the weekend. I am glad for that. I really have no big plans for the w/e, but I love being aqble not having to go our if I don't want to. How about you?

I am here and getting ever so close to my last weigh-in (Aug 30). I can honestly say I am starting to get excited and nervous.

Well then,,, I better check in and say hello.. Come on everyone...

Getting over the weekend finally.. I went to the funeral of a VERY CLOSE friend very difficult time saying goodbye. Why the heck do we eat at funerals??? I still cant figure that out... I have not been tempted by a single bad food since surgery but, I will tell you a little grief,,, a few tears and a peace of chocolate cake all seamed to be a fine grouping for me this weekend. But, I kept my defenses up and DID NOT have the chocolate cake.. But,,, I WANTED IT..


By the way that woman who passed was a very close friend.. She was a musician most of her life.
She wrote a REALLY famous Connie Francis song.. "WHERE THE BOYS ARE" So next time you hear that song sing along with "Joanie".. She's listening.  

I have started to pester the insurance company (BCBS IL) on a daily basis to ask for my approval.  If it doesn't come soon I am afraid I will not be able to have the surgery before going back to work in the fall. 

I'm a teacher and I just can't take 2 weeks off during the school year for surgery.  I need those sick days for sickness or for my kids sick days. I'm on vacation and having fun right now, but I'm worried. 

It's nagging in the back of my mind that it may not come together like I planned and I am trying to be hopeful but prepare myself at the same time.

Lots of work being done around the house.  Calvin power washed all three decks last night and I'm trying to treat and stain them today.  I can't believe how much stain I have went thru.  It just soaks it right up.  I may have to go buy another 5gallon can.  I hope not, it's 147.  and with me not working much I really don't want to spend the money.  Oh well.  We'll see how it goes.

Got the master bath painted yesterday and I'm getting ready to clean and move the furniture around in the master bedroom.

Going away this weekend to Wis Dells with my sis, Jacob and Dylan, my great nephew!  I plan on having fun...though I don't own a bathing suit as of right now!  LOL

 Good Morning Lisa and Illinois

Boy, is everyone busy!  I am loafing and enjoying it.  I dread the thought of going back to work because that means I have to be a busy as everyone else.    I was thinking this morning what trouble my fur babies will get into once I am not home all day.  They will miss all the attention that they are getting.  This time has passed quickly.  

I hope everyone does start responding to roll call as I miss hearing about what everyone is up to.

Hello,  I'm kinda new to roll call but I have read them , so i thought I'd better pitch in since she sounds ticked.
I'm a week out and just rying to get in the swing of things. Got drain pulled yesterday,so big shower today! Then off for a walk.

Hello Illinois ,

   I'm still stuck in the house .. I am a week out today . The kids go back to school in a lil more then 2 weeks . I need to go shopping for school clothes and everything . I also need to go and enroll them in school . All 4 of them ... My lil girl Gloria go's in for her big surgery on the 14th of Aug and has her surgery on the 18th . So I gotta get my self feeling better soon ... So I'm just drink , drink , drink, and walk ,walk,walk .. So I will talk to u all soon.......

I'm hoping each day gets better for you.  I'm not sure what complications you had but I do hope you're feeling better soon.  I had open too but no complications so I bounced back quickly and was back to work 10 days later.  I did have lifting restrictions and did get tired pretty quickly.  I do have to say I would of been really pissed if they just told me to take over the counter tylenol especially w/ the commute you had.  I feel for ya.

I'm praying for your quick recovery.
