Monday Roll Call
Revision on 04/19/13
Good Morning Illinois.
It is Monday and back to work for most of us. Monday comes to soon after Fridays.
I stayed home this weekend and cleaned. I didn't finish, but we will do it next weekend. Hopefully, it will stay clean with just needing sweeping or dusting.
We ( DH and I) did take 3 walks this weekend. I used the pedometer and each one was over a mile. Never thought I would do that. I know alot of you walk alot more, but I hadn't done that in a number of years.
What are your plans for the day and week?
Have a great one,
Hugs, LISA

Good morning Lisa and Illinois!
It looks like the beginnings of a beautiful day!
I had a busy weekend! We went to a concert in the park this weekend as my old neighbor's band was playing. It was nice to reconnect with him. We haven't seen him in a couple of years.
Yesterday we were up and out early. We went to 10:30 mass at St. Patricks in Yorkville. My nephews baby girl was being Christened. After mass we went to their house for lunch and got to visit with his aunts and uncles from his dads side of the family.
When we came home we spent time with Bella and then took her to a concert in Frankfort. Today its back to normal.
Tonight we are meeting friends at the Lockport concert series. I'm looking forward to that.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday its time to hit the gym again.
Friday its a mammogram and a fill.
Then another busy weekend.....
Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
Sorry to see that you can't make the festival this weekend Lisa, but we understand. Hopefully, there will be one next year. I won't be on the committee after this year so I will not have to work next year!
Glad to see that Heather is home and doing well and hoping the Cheroity gets to go home today.
We had the BEST time at the zoo on Friday and our hotel had AWESOME veiws of downtown and the river. Riley was so cute!!! She said "Look Uma, big buildings like I NEVER seed before!!!!" She spent lots of time looking out the window at the trains and river traffic. She would call "look, look, police boats!!!!" or "come quick, look at the kayaks!!!!" It was awesome to spend the weekend with my girls.
My boys came home from camp on Saturday and yesterday, we all went to the water park for a Scout outing. We had a great time and the place was practically empty so NO LINES! I did not start getting cold until later in the afternoon. We stopped for dinner on the way home and came home to a fire in our backyard courtesy of the neighbors. A pretty good weekend all around.
I am looking forward to the Rockford Support group tonight. Hope to see lots of you there!
Everyone have a spectacular day!

Good Morning..
I should be painting the master bath but instead I'm sitting in front of the computer. I must get moving! We had a nice weekend. Nothing too exciting happened but it was nice and quiet. Lost of big equipment going up and down the streets this am. They are putting a bike/walk path in next to our house. It will be great when its complete but for now it's a mess. They are in the beginning stages so new sewer lines are going in.. The last of my big trees are going away. One came down on Friday which fell into our fence and did quite a bit of damage. Three more to go. I hope they don't fall onto the house. These are really big old trees and give us some nice shade so I am sad to see them go. I thought about chaining myself to one of them but they are on City property. LOL
Hope everyone has a great Monday. I have to get painting.

Christina, we are having trees going down in our neigborhood too. They are installing new sewer lines, and moving the street about 10 feet. So, all old growth trees are going. A group tried to get them to leave them, but like you, they are on city property. And really, you can't fight city hall.

I am so sorry you are losing your trees. That would break my heart. I had to take out a tree that was over 100 years old out of my back yard a few years ago. It about killed me. It was over 150 feet tall. But I ended up taking it out at the right time. They said it was rotten on the inside. I still miss that darned tree.
I will say this. I have a tulip poplar tree that was a little less than 6 feet tall when I moved into my house 17 years ago and now it is about 125 - 150 feet.. That thing grows fast! So if you want a fast growing Big tree I suggest one of those.

Thanks LIsa & Nancy.... I fell in love w/ the property when we bought it, it was all wooded and felt like you were so far out in the country. Shortly after we moved in, we had to have almost all of the trees removed because they were in such bad shape. And like yours, many were very tall and old. My neighbors cried seeing them all go. So the last of the "good" trees are going this week. It is so sad but I know it has to be done.
Hope your having a nice day.

Good Morning everyone!
It promises to be a beautiful day. For me, my big thing today is an appointment at the physical therapy department to do evaluations to start outpatient physical therapy. My insurance has to approve it but that is standard procedure for them. I see no problems with approval.
I have to go to the heart doctor this week. This is a follow up on that crazy EKG that almost waylaid my surgery. Other than that, no big plans for this week. This should be my last full week at home so I am going to enjoy it.
Hope everyone has a great day!
