Friday Roll Call
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
I understand the need for housework! When I got hom around 10 pm last night, my house looked like no one had picked up for days. I asked my family WHAT they would do if I was gone for a whole week. They said that THEN they would pick up after themselves. I put things back into the fridge that needed to be put back in, but left the rest for tonight and tomorrow. I will try to make them help.
I am working a shorter day today and taking Liv over to the museum later this morning.
Liv has two softball games tomorrow and leaves for summer camp on Sunday. I'm not too sure what else is going on this weekend, but I'm sure I will be busy, even if it is housework and year work.
Everyone make sure to send Kim at Obesity Help you opinions of the free samples from the conference.......(see top post).
Have a spectacular day and a wonderful weekend!
I'm just catching up on reading the posts from yesterday. I will be keeping Monica and her family in my prayers. The next few weeks will be very dificult for them.
Not much on the agenda today. I need to clean house. This weekend I'll run a few errands as I'm getting ready to leave for WV. I can't wait to get out there for our visit. The boys are growing so quickly and I feel like I don't get to see them too much. They already know that when I'm around I take a lot of pictures. Since my daughter will be there too I'll be able to get pictures of all 5 kids together!
Hope you enjoy the sunny warm day today!
I don't have anything planned other than homework and a ball game for Tyler this evening. I can't wait for the cooler weather that's heading our way next week! yay...I love having my windows open!!
I am still kinda numb from the news about my great neice Amy, who will be born early in the next few weeks and then go right to Heaven. It doesn't seem fair at all, but everything happens for a reason. Today is my niece's birthday too, her golden one at that, she is 26 today and just got this news yesterday about her baby. Not a nice way to spend your birthday.
Well stay cool and enjoy your Friday!
Well it is another hot day today but we are supposed to be back in the 70's starting Sunday!

Right now, I am said and crying for Monica and her niece. I know how devastating that news must be. It just is not fair. I remember when my great niece was diagnosed with Down Syndrome in utero and how I felt with that news. That is a walk in the park compared to what Monica's family is going through. My heart aches for them.
Yesterday, both home health care and physical therapy came for starting evaluations. My leg is very sore today. I walked on it a lot yesterday and it is reminding me of that. But in this case, no pain means no gain.
I hope everyone has a great day and stays cool!

I love the warm weather. I need to move to Arizona or something.
I have been laying out in the grass letting the sun bake me.
I can't get enough.
Since surgery, has anyone had a strong desire to eat hot foods? I can't get hot enough food. I make beans with hot peppers and hot sauce and add horseradish to it.
It is so hot I sweat while I eat it, but I love it. I can't get enough. I was wondering if it is my body desiring to eat stuff because my metabolism is so high right now.
Anyway, life is good. I am still loosing weight. About 20-25 lbs a month. I go for walks and jog every night. I start out walking a mile to the lake by my house, then I jog a half mile, then I walk another half mile, then I jog another half mile, then I walk a mile back home. Sometimes I like the song on the IPOD so I walk another couple laps around the lake. So it is like 3-5 miles a night total. It makes me feel great! I know how far I go because the lake is exactly 1/2 mile around it to the tenth of a mile. It is also 1/2 mile to and from the lake.
I need to buy a tread mill before winter gets here again.
I need to move to Arizona.
Hope everything is going good for everyone else.
Surgical Date: 12/10/08 Open RNY
Goal Wt: 275
Present Wt: 224 LBS!!!!!!!
Ya, thats right, Im UNDER MY GOAL BY 50LBS!!
WOO HOO!!!!!!!

You are not alone in the spicey food department. I never liked real spicey food before surgery and now it is like "bring it on!' I dont know what changed, but I love salsa on everything! You would have never heard me saying that presurgery. I will also complain when food is tasting bland. Something about this surgery changes your tastes.

i've had the spicy thing too. It really happened even when I was on mushy food. Now it's moderated some, but I still eat spicier than before surgery!
I thought the band s came from Mexico, but it seems to happen to RNY folks too!
