Good Morning Illinois!

Time to wake up!  I am wide awake at 4:30 AM.  That probably won't last as I just got some pain meds and they knock me out fairly fast.  At least today I know what day of the week it is.  I started roll call yesterday and put it down as Monday morning roll call on Tuesday.  Do You think I am on drugs or something???.

I go home today at 3:00.  It is rare to have a checkout time in a hospital but I am using their transportation van and I am scheduled for 3pm.  I am ready to escape this place!

So tell me what is going on in your world.  I will be very boring for the next 5 weeks so will love to hear your life happenings.  Everyone come out and play!

Good Morning Nancy and IL, LOL on yesterdays Roll call, I thought no one started it so I did, sorry did not know you had,
anyway I am up and going to get ready for work soon but wanted to stop by and say HI, I am going to try every morning to do this, Yesterday was fun but very warm, today I am working the floor and I am sure that will be hot as I am in the Kitchen,  after work off to tan then home for some cool air,
well almost cool, My Air con is not working right, they were here last night and said that some thing inside the unit is not working right so I am not getting as cold of air that I should and he did not have the part with him so they will be calling today to set up a time to come fix it right,
Well I need to go and jump in the shower and get ready to leave, everyone have a great day and please stay cool and drink lots of water, and don't forget about your pets don't leave them out side too long as the heat is hard on them too and they also need lots of clean water,
Hugs to all

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

No problem starting the roll call with the right day!!!  Don't feel bad.

I am so sorry about your ac. I just replaced mine and will say the new hi efficient ones are amazing and you need to set you thermostat warmer than the older ones because  they cool so well.  Hope yours gets fixed today because this is no time to be without a working ac.   Have a great day!

Good Morning Nancy and Illinios:
I'm ex-military so I'm up every morning at 5:00 no medicine needed!! lol.  I'm grateful for my RNY, but just had my first major hair loss this week. That....was dauntiung!!   I cried a little, prayed a little then went out and bought some biotin. lol   Depending on who you ask, it may or may not work. We'll see.  I have to work on the protein thing. I thought I was doing good with 60 grams, but I need to do more. I'm going to do a protein shake this morning to get a jump on it.

Other than that I will be working from home today, doing a little ecercise. I'm sorry I missed the conference, my daughter had a performance those days.  I'm working on going back to school soon to finish my masters degree.

Take care and a wonderful day.

Trying to figure out how to reverse this weight gain.

Hi CC

Hope the biotin helps but my surgeon always stressed getting the protein to prevent te hair loss. I  a being pushed for 80 -120 g a day due to being tall. I have fallen in love with homemade protein ice cream.  It is super easy to make and tastes yummy.  There are all kinds of recipes on
www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com  Just put ice cream in the search box and up will pop at least 20 varieties!  Good luck on your masters.

I have a Cuisinart and I love it!  My favorite recipe is fairly plain as I am not a real specialty type ice cream person.  Mine is:

In a blender container put 3 heaping scoops of vanilla protein powder, fill container with vanilla soy mil****il it reaches the 3 1/4 mark on the blender container.  Add 1 TBSP vanilla or raspberry DaVinci  sugar free syrup, and 10 frozen strawberries or other frozen fruits.  (This helps the mixture get really cold)  Process in freezer for approximately 25 minutes.  I then slice a banana between 4 zip lock containers and add some blueberries, strawberries, peaches or whatever fruit I want.  Scoop in ice cream and blend.  Put containers in freezer.  When ready to use, put container in microwave for 40 seconds and enjoy!

I'm going to have to try this..  Calvin loves his ice cream and I really need to find a healthy alternative.  Thanks for sharing.

I sure hope you slept better last night being home.

Good morning Illinois.  I'm having a bit of a rough day already.  I think I have a kidney stone.  Prior to my surgery, I had over 30 of them through the years, and then I had a big one 3 days after my surgery.  None since then, but I know I've been bad with drinking liquids this week.  I woke up with pain in my kidney region and have been pushing a lot of liquids through.  But the pain is there and it is familiar.  Hopefully, it is small and will pass without requiring an IV or pain meds.  I've been completely drug free since my surgery on May 3rd, 2008, and would like to stay that way.  The last 2 days have been brutle as far as the heat goes, and I'm sure I've lost a lot of liquids while cutting the lawn and being outside.  Wish me luck!

I absolutely wish you luck and hope that if it is a stone, it passes without too much pain.  David has had those in the past and I have seen how painful they can be.  I am thinking of you!

Tell someone that you love them!
