Guess what I did today. (Monday)

I guess it is Tuesday by now, but yesterday (earlier tonight) I amazed myself by actually running 2 miles.

The last time I ran 2 miles was during the Reagan Administration and I was in the Military.

I have been doing a run-walk thing my Doctor suggested for me, but I didn't get tired while I ran so I kept going.

I ended up getting tired around the first mile, but I wanted to see if I could do the second mile without dying.

By the way, I didn't die. (incase anyone was wondering)

I am going to try to build up to running 3-5 miles a night, so I can run in a 10K with my sister come this fall. I have my choice between a 5K or a 10K and I am aiming for the 10K.  I think I could do the 5K now without dying. 5K is only about 3 and 3/4 miles. I walk-run that every night.

Something else kinda amazing. My resting heart rate has been running in the high 30's to low 40's beets per minute. Before my weight loss it was in the 90's. It was 38 at the doctors office. He rechecked it and it was at 42.  I have the heart of a marathon runner. (well, theirs dips down into the 20's, but I am still almost 300lbs)

I am feeling great, I should of had the surgery 10 years ago.

Dave that is great News. you go, Keep up the good work

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Congrats Dave!

I am so Happy for you.  With the ability to run, you can get into trouble and then get away heh heh.    It also makes it easier to chase those women!

That is such a major accomplishment!

Please stop by to play more often, We miss your cheery humor on the daily basis.
