Support Groups in the Western Suburbs???

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if there are support groups in the Oak Park, Forest Park, LaGrange, or River Forest area?  I would like to attend a support group and wonder if there are any in my area?

Welcome to the Illinois Board!  I am so glad that you found us!

I do not know of any groups in the areas that you mentioned, but we DO have one in Rockford on the third Monday of every month.  It may be a bit far for you to drive, but if you are interested, let me know and I can give more details. 

Otherwise, I hope someone will step in and give you some other ideas.  I am pretty sure that if you check out the "events" area of this site that you can put in your area and see if there are any groups that are advertising on OH.

Continue to come to this board also.  We are here to support each other and keep in touch in the daily "roll call".

I say it is time someone starts one. I will find out if I am approved on Wed. of next week. My doctor says everything is ready to go and now off to the Kane center.... I need support in the Northwest suburbs of Arlington Heights, Hoffman estates Mount Prospect area.

I live in Oak Park and had lap-band surgery about two years ago. I'd be interested in a support group nearby. There isn't one that I'm aware of. Let me know if you'd like to organize one ;)
