Anyone From Southern Illinois

Hi, I live in southern illinois and was just wondering if there is anyone else out there nearby.  I have to switch doctors due to mine losing his practice (long story) and now I am going to go to Dr. Richardson in St. Louis at DesPeres Hospital. 

Looking for someone to talk with.  I have met and made a few real good friends, but more are always welcome to me.

I live in Cambria, IL.........between Carbondale and Carterville. Just recently lost my doc too. Probably the same as yours.........in Herrin, IL? They keep telling me they are getting someone to cover for him, but they already cancelled my June appt. I am just going to wait it out and see who they get and/or wait for Dr. A. to re-establish a practice in the area. I really liked him.
I had lapband back in Oct of 2003. If there is anyway I can help, just email me.

Thanks alot for your offer for some help.  However I did go to the seminar at st. louis at the Holiday Inn-South today.    I will be having surgery at DesPeres Hospital.  Dr. Richardson will be doing my surgery the first part of August.  That situation with Dr. A  almost messed me up where I was going to have to redo all of my testing.  St. Louis office was nice enough to take on all of his patients.  All my tests expire in September.  So they really got on the ball for me.  

I may be hunting you down again for some more advise.  How are you doing since you had you surgery?  By the way I am from Marion......

I am doing very well thank you. I just got into a size 10 jeans, that was quite a milestone for me! Feel free to keep in touch and I will answer any/all questions that I can.
