Friday Roll Call

Good morning Illinois!

I dropped Liv off at 6 am for her Chicago adventure.  I hope it is not raining at Navy pier later this morning as they are sailing on the tall ship.  They sail rain or shine, but no rain would be more fun, I'm sure.  I am keeping my fingers crossed for them.

Tonight, David and I are making cakes for the cake auction tomorrow.  I am making one that looks like a plate of spaghetti and meatballs and he is making one that looks like a sandwich.....if I can figure out what to use for "fillings" to look like lunch meat.  I am thinking that we can do wonders with fruit leather/roll-ups, but we will see.

Both kids got good reports at the doctor and have their medicine refilled for another year.

I get to have lunch with Amber and Riley today, so that will be a great time!

All lurkers, come out and play with us!!!!  We love to make new friends!!!

 As they say, great minds think alike!  I started the post at the same time you where starting.  Great to hear all is well.  Can you make me a cake that looks like gyros?  I use to love them but now they don't go down for me.  Cake, on the other hand, goes down easy!!!

I also just found a goo looking "Peanut Butter Crumble" cake that I can possible modify to be a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich........

Good Morning! 

Looks like rain today.  I'm getting ready to jump in the shower and head in to the Doc to get my  B12 shot.  I don't have too much going on today.  Just the normal stuff.  I read t his quote in a book I'm reading and really liked it so I will share........

Good morning Dawn and Illinois Friends!  Dawn you have got to take pictures of the cakes.  Those sound so creative!  everytime I turn around you have another trick up your sleeve. 

Each day is a little better but I keep spiking temps which they say is normal after this surgery. 

My insurance company has approved another 7 days for me to stay.   I should be good to go by then.  I miss my babies but they are in good hands of my neighbor.  I bribed her by paying for a new step for her while my driveway was being concreted.  Works wonders.

I am SO glad to hear that you have been given more time by the insurance company.  We ALL know how difficult they can be.
Take your time and take advantage of the rest provided.  I'm thinking of you.

I will take pictures.....we always take pictures of Liv's cupcakes too.

It is pretty good insurance.  It was that or paying for two weeks in a nursing home.  I think this way is cheaper. Looking   forward to seeing the pics.

Nancy I am so glad insurance said yes to another 7 days. You be good and do as the doc says and you will be up and "running" in  no time!
