Thursday Roll Call
I woke up this morning to rain, thunder, lighting and birds chirping.
Not a good way to start a vacation! We will be meeting our Monica and her husband, along with Morgan in Dwight this evening for dinner, so we can collect her and head for Chicago. We will be flying to Seattle in the morning to start our Alaskan Adventure. I have been waiting for this day for over a year. I just have a few details to resolve this morning, and spend the rest of the day working on a rug.
what is on your agenda for today?
Nancy, please check in.
Stay Dry, stay safe
Hugs,
LISA
Lisa, I hope you have wonderful time on your trip! That should be so much fun!
I am gradually recovering.. They are talking about kicking me out tomorrow but I don't think I am ready to go. We shall see. The physician's assistant said that this is the turning point say so hopefully she is right.
I have LOTS of sleeping. My blood count is down so they will decide today as to whether I need transfusions or not.
Hope everyone has a great day!

I fully intend to have a great time;

I am working this morning, but leaving early to take the kids for their yearly doctor appointments this afternoon. I will pick David up from camp, then Liv from home, run them into Freeport to the doctor's then home to pick up David's stuff to take him back to camp for the first overnight of the year.
Liv has a softball game tonight, then straight to bed for her as she needs to be up by 5 tomorrow to leave for her Chicago trip with the Girl Scouts. She will be gone all weekend and we need to make cakes for the cake auction for the next town's yearly festival on Saturday. The Boy Scouts will be marching in that parade and I will probably also be walking in that parade for "A Day in Rock City". The Scouts have garbage detail on Saturday at that festival also.
It is kind of drizzly here, but not raining at the moment.
Not too much else happening in our corner.
Everyone have a lovely day!
Good morning!
We had several hundred people go through our garden yesterday. It was fun and exhausting too. You can really tell the difference in our personalities by our reactions. Kay was exhausted by talking to so many people and I was energized by it! That's the story of our lives! People loved the garden and it looked awesome. Now we look toward my retirement party next Wednesday. Then things will slow down a lot!

Nancy, please take it easy.
Dawn, I haven't had my kids go away to sleepaway camp yet. Not sure my heart can ever take it!
The sun is out now and I am happy. Taking the boys to the bookstore this afternoon to spend their giftcards--always feel rich when we can do that. Maybe some ice cream afterwards.
My hubby and I are sneaking away to Door County for a long weekend. Many of you met him LAST weekend at the OH conference. Should be low-key fun without kids!

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!
HW: 344 lbs CW: 150 lbs
Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
Good Afternoon Everyone!
Have a great Alaskan Adventure, Lisa!! That is just awesome!! I am actually leaving for North Carolina tomorrow. Will be heading to Sunset Beach, NC with a bunch of friends. I am excited and can't wait.
I usually am freaked out by the thought of not being able to fit into an airplane seat or by not being able to fasten the seat belt. I am excited because I know that I shouldn't have a problem! As of this morning I am down 74 lbs since January. I have a ways to go....but I will probably start to cry if I can buckle the seat belt with no problems!
Have a great weekend everyone and talk with you all soon!!
